At what point does it reach the tipping point from being a dick to eligible of being reported? I suppose we can expect "No sharing textbooks" next update as well.

Up to this point I could almost buy his coldness as wanting to remain impartial and professional while teaching his daughter (even if that would still be a dick move after abandoning her for two years) but this is in no way impartial or professional.

well... I could be wrong, but isn't adenine a nitrogenous base itself, not a "component" of a nitrogenous base? It's a base because of the amino group attached to the cyclic structure... It is a component of a larger DNA molecule, or of adenosine triphosphate

Oh joy.. So why exactly does he need to be there beside being a ass I mean Whatever reason it might be it's taking to long to come up
This current arc might not be good for me Not with MR Carver being in the picture I might wait for some updates to pile up maybe less time to hate... Cause I don't think its normal to want to commit murder

The mystery of the right hand continues! Is it just me or is he holding that stack of books in a curious way in panel 1? Balanced from underneath. Not tilting the stack towards himself or holding the edge of the stack as he moves around, with his bod against the stack as the only stability offered. On that note: Poll expired, folks... too late to change any answers.

The mystery of the right hand continues! I hope Zimmy's punch somehow turned it really embarrassingly girly, with garish neon polish that won't wash off of the ridiculous fake nails that're stuck on him forever.

This is seething disdain for his progeny. There is no way of backing out of this and the attempts to do so are physically painful to read. This guy is mad that his daughter exists because it means Surma had to die. This has been visually suggested in-comic before.
Anthony is an abusive asshat and I don't care what his reasoning is, even if he is trying to remove the fire elemental part of Annie to save her, he's an abusive parent and I will never like him. Because even if this is all a big scheme or trick, it's the same reason I don't like Snape. I don't care a single bit what your intentions are at your core, if you are an emotionally manipulative and spiteful prick I will not like you unless you actively reform your behavior. No amount of backstory can act as character development, they are both simply spiteful jerks who don't want their victims to end up dead. And that's only certain for Snape.
Regardless, even if this is all for an altruistic ulterior motive, and he is trying to 'protect her' by being emotionally abusive, that's still gaslighting. He is still making her question her reality via manipulation. This is not a likable man, and I will never find him sympathetic regardless of what the narrative may try to throw at us. Luckily I trust Tom not to resort to such a blatant and predictable red-herring that disregards the hard reality of emotional abuse. Tom has always been greatly grounded when it comes to the interpersonal, real world parallel aspects of his story, regardless of how weird and zany the situations, environments or creatures might be, and I trust him not to attempt to cheaply undo all of this emotional abuse all for the sake of a 'shocking twist' that's become a cliche at this point.
I don't care what his reasoning is or what his backstory says or what he's trying to do. I will never like him. His behavior is unacceptable.

Since you will copy all your homework from your classmate anyway I don't see the need to waste one perfectly good textbook on you.

Since you will copy all your homework from your classmate anyway I don't see the need to waste one perfectly good textbook on you. In that way, this actually does make sense. But supposing Tony doesn't know about that, this makes no sense whatsoever. I have to think that this is Annie's nightmare, it just wouldn't make any sense that Tony wouldn't even give her a textbook. That said, if this was her nightmare, it would be strange that she was imagining getting the support she normally does not get from her class mates (remember, she's very unpopular). It would be in the logic of dreams of this kind that the other kids either wouldn't care or would even laugh at her.

To be fair, she's gotten along better with them all from Laser Cows onward.

It would be in the logic of dreams of this kind that the other kids either wouldn't care or would even laugh at her. I've been under the assumption that we were led to believe that after the events of Residential, she's become considerably more social and less of a pariah with her classmates.

I wouldn't say she's unpopular. Folks were cheering her on when she went all firey on those Zimmified bots two chapters ago.
I can't imagine people inviting her to all the parties, but they certainly don't dislike her or consider her as weird as before.
And yeah, what everyone else said. Cracking the shell has done wonders for her social life.

Tony really makes no sense to me here. He is so obviously hostile that I think we can assume he's aware of what he's doing to Antimony. But an actively hostile Tony conflicts with the sort of Tony that (according to Donny) would have contacted Annie by phone...but does fit with the earlier Tony we see in the hospital, angry at his daughter for her mother's death. I see three options to resolve this conflict: - He was a softer and friendlier person until the events of Divine caused him to revert back to his older persona (possibly from his bone-laser plot not succeeding).
- Donny is misreading the intent of the phone call and/or Tony has changed his personality since the two last interacted.
- We are just misreading Tony altogether, and he's a wild card. Or, I suppose, it's not really Tony.

To be fair, she's gotten along better with them all from Laser Cows onward. Okay, maybe saying that she's very unpopular is wrong by now, but let's say that she is not exactly popular and might still resent that. And it would still be more logical in a nightmare that they didn't care of her suffering or even laughed at her humiliation.
