Seriously, though, are we really going to get to see nothing of Kat's experiments with robots? Because Tom's implied that the new chapter will be the beginning of the next school year.
Something interesting must happen, with all the tension going around and Kat's plans for robots. Is it going to be presented later in the story? Or will it be another cursed teapot?

As this page states, there will be special guests' comics uploaded everyday until the comic begins again! That is mighty fine of Mr. Siddell to do for his audience, it must be professed! He really does take care of us, that's for sure. Also, I think I saw somewhere that the guy actually is Tom! Probably from a formspring answer or something. Lemme check. Edit: Well, this is something. And I must complement, if that really is him, he's well handsome. |

And we haven't see any of the summertime antics before (except in the extra Annie In The Forest comic), so why would we start to now? I know! I have! I now know both his voice and how he looks like! It's like meeting him in real life! Except it's like I heard him first but I couldn't get a good look at him at all because of how many people there were in front of me blocking my view, and then serendipitously encounter him that would allow me to identify Tom as Tom but still couldn't have the chance to approach or hear him speak, and I can't interact with him directly, and I can't ask if we could take a selfie together...  Sad life. [No longer in UK] Also, there was those chains of comics made by the characters themselves involving City Face. One can be a bit hopeful that something similar might happen. Plus, there's no stopping a short comic about the events of this summer for the girls. Especially if we are welcomed with a surprising disaster chapter this coming 19th, the resultant of whatever hijinks that had come to pass during said vacation. (The only thing stopping it is, of course, Tom deciding to not do so, and we aren't greeted with an chapter full of mysterious/unresolved circumstances.) |

Seems like there's a decent amount to speculate on in regards to the world presented in these Tea images, and whether it has any bearing or relation to the world of Gunnerkrigg itself. Incidentally, are there any more of them than these?: (I know there are more comics featuring Tea, I'm specifically talking about ones that seem to be part of this post-apocalyptic setting. The ones with her talking about the Houses, dorms, and swords I don't think fit quite in?) That is quite the knife you have there Tea! At least judging by the size of pommel and the part the handle we can see. Could be a cleaver, but seems more knifey to me.
Doesn't look like you have a much water though, and poor prospects of finding any. I guess we'll see you on the ether side pretty soon.

At first glance, I thought they were in Iraq. Then, I thought Tom must be playing one of the latest survival games, but there's no reason the scene is post-apocalyptic. Plenty of roads that look just like that; some war torn, some time torn.
