Because it should probably be 'quién no es' unless I'm misreading it...regardless, 'qué' would have an accent, but I assume that's a fault of Ale&Wenches? Sorry to bring it up.)

On the actual page itself, why do i love the bottom right panel so much? and the one above it? ...And the bottom left as well? (Seriously though, if I had to choose, bottom right).

Point taken; I read it as the latter (a 'so who did you think was not a threat?' sort of thing, which google translate easily could have screwed up). I'm not familiar with that construction (but maybe it's not used as much around Mexico-influenced areas). Why would that remove the accent? |

In this case "que" works as a subordinating conjunction with an implied main clause. A literal though not idiomatic translation would be "(So you said) that I am no threat?". Idiomatic translations would be along the lines of "No threat, huh?" "Who's not a threat now?", etc. "Qué" with an accent is an interrogative pronoun, often translated as "what". Not of application here. Spanish grammar lesson of today courtesy of Mr. Sidell and your friendly neighbourhood enigmaron. BTW, Tom's choice (or most likely his Spanish advisor's) is indeed used (at least in Spain) but does have a slightly broken grammar which implies a heavily scornful voice tone, you cannot use that particular construction together with, let's say, a neutral or playful voice. Now the question I have is what the intentions of the Seraphs are now, since they're still moving. I mean, granted, I wouldn't expect them to just collapse, and even them being this weakened is kinda strange, but I would at least expect them to know when to call it quits. Them purposely to the main room gives me a bad feeling.

Especially while this matter didn't stabilize yet. Them purposely to the main room gives me a bad feeling. But do they act with purpose right now? It looks to me, like they're crawling to Kat. Maybe, it's to beg to the Creator to change them back. Or for an explanation, as to why everyone is fight against them. Probably. Or just skipped points on the list that clearly failed and go straight to "assemble and review". Aftermath jubilations are going to be skipped too, by the look of it. |
