Bilingual bonus and badass boast! This page should be easy to translate in the Spanish version (Question: are you accepting corrections on your Spanish, Tom Siddell? Because it should probably be 'quién no es' unless I'm misreading it...regardless, 'qué' would have an accent, but I assume that's a fault of Ale&Wenches? Sorry to bring it up.)

Aww, I had just logged in to try the "be the first to create the thread" thing *tears* Ah well, this was a welcome break from my research paper.
On the actual page itself, why do i love the bottom right panel so much? and the one above it? ...And the bottom left as well? (Seriously though, if I had to choose, bottom right).

The Spanish is correct. It's more like "so I'm not a threat, huh?" rather than "who's not a threat?". That's also why the "que" doesn't have an accent.

Point taken; I read it as the latter (a 'so who did you think was not a threat?' sort of thing, which google translate easily could have screwed up). I'm not familiar with that construction (but maybe it's not used as much around Mexico-influenced areas). Why would that remove the accent?

I'm not sure how correct it would be, but I would have simply omitted the 'que' there.

Paz *is* 'Speaker to Animals'*, especially in the last panel.
*Lindsey prefers to call her 'Chmee'**
**These are Ringworld references btw

Why would that remove the accent? Because it's not an interrogative "qué" ("what"). If you put an accent on that sentence, it would change the meaning to "What I'm not a threat?" which makes no sense. I can't really explain it well enough since I don't know the correct terminology to explain the Spanish language in English, but as I said, in this case the "que" changes what would mean "I'm not a threat?" (¿No soy una amenaza?) into "so I'm not a threat, huh?" (¿Que no soy una amenaza?)

Bonus: Opportunity-thread-edit of that panel with Annie commenting on Paz's panties in 3... 2... 1... Seriously though, of all the one-liners Paz could've said there, this was probably the best. Awesome!

I can't really explain it well enough since I don't know the correct terminology to explain the Spanish language in English, but as I said, in this case the "que" changes what would mean "I'm not a threat?" (¿No soy una amenaza?) into "so I'm not a threat, huh?" (¿Que no soy una amenaza?) "Que" is a rather complex word in Spanish with lots of uses. In this case "que" works as a subordinating conjunction with an implied main clause. A literal though not idiomatic translation would be "(So you said) that I am no threat?". Idiomatic translations would be along the lines of "No threat, huh?" "Who's not a threat now?", etc. "Qué" with an accent is an interrogative pronoun, often translated as "what". Not of application here. Spanish grammar lesson of today courtesy of Mr. Sidell and your friendly neighbourhood enigmaron. BTW, Tom's choice (or most likely his Spanish advisor's) is indeed used (at least in Spain) but does have a slightly broken grammar which implies a heavily scornful voice tone, you cannot use that particular construction together with, let's say, a neutral or playful voice. You must ooze boast. For reference, Paz dismissed by soon-to-be-burned seraph: www.gunnerkrigg.com/?p=1402

Let's see the scorecard / status board as of page 1440...
Present and accounted for: Janet, Winsbury, Jack, Zimmy, Gamma, Kat, Annie, Lindsey, robot rescue crew, ship's crew, Jenny, Seraphs, background students (Matt?), Paz
Not seen yet, but should have been with others who are present and accounted for: Reynard, Robot, RobotKing
Not seen yet: Shadow. Maybe he's hiding so the Court doesn't find out about him.
Not seen since the rain started to fall: ShipWhaleBot. The purple goo is still in the background even though it rained, so he may be facing a fate worse than paperclips.
Not revealed yet: How did the Seraphs get the etheric tags? dunn, dunnn, dunnnn....

I was skeptical at first. But yeah... Kat and Paz are adorable.
Now the question I have is what the intentions of the Seraphs are now, since they're still moving. I mean, granted, I wouldn't expect them to just collapse, and even them being this weakened is kinda strange, but I would at least expect them to know when to call it quits. Them purposely to the main room gives me a bad feeling.

Or for an explanation, as to why everyone is fight against them.

Tom has said before that Paz' Spanish was intentionally off, because her first language is actually Galician, rather than Spanish.

I wouldn't expect them to just collapse, and even them being this weakened is kinda strange, How weakened? They just can't figure out which appendages they have at the moment. Especially while this matter didn't stabilize yet. Them purposely to the main room gives me a bad feeling. But do they act with purpose right now? It looks to me, like they're crawling to Kat. Maybe, it's to beg to the Creator to change them back. Or for an explanation, as to why everyone is fight against them. Probably. Or just skipped points on the list that clearly failed and go straight to "assemble and review". Aftermath jubilations are going to be skipped too, by the look of it.
