Paz goes suicidal? No, [REDACTED]Come on, people! Where are you? I waited like two minutes before I decided to make the thread myself. Whaaa.... did I miss something on first read: does Paz jump out of Zimmingham!? Or what is that? Edit: censorship hit my post. I am dangerous.

Going somewhere, Paz?
I take it from that look that she was expecting something a little bit more graceful.

In the previous page Paz was running towards the light, in this one she is running away from it? Has she run through it or something? Or is the light just the etheric zimmingham falling apart?
Also come on, the next panel has to be Paz re-emerging from the water riding Lindsey as she comes along to save the day!

Whaaa.... did I miss something on first read: does Paz jump out of Zimmingham!? Or what is that? To me it looked more like she was jumping around Zimmingham, and when the last syphon exploded the water started flowing in.

In the previous page Paz was running towards the light, in this one she is running away from it? Has she run through it or something? Yep, I believe so! I think the light is like an etheric border (or a "magical portal", how kids call it these days) between zimmingham and whatever is called the VIP area where Kat is.

There may be another comic between this one and the one that was accidentally shown.
Also, eldritch ship is eldritch and far from being a majestic whale. I wonder what the underwater part looks like.

I guess that now that the siphons are destroyed, it becomes finally possible to call Lindsey herself in to resolve this mess, and who better to do that than Paz, who presumably can understand her even when she doesn't have an access to a computer.

She's going to have to be aquawoman briefly and call telepathically because well, humans can't breathe underwater.
Also, I'm wondering, can she even swim?

Gunnerkrigg Court - Chapter 49 conclusion
We all drowned. The end.
Gunnerkrigg Court - Epilogue
I am dead. They are trying to collect me. I went into Zimmy's world to hide. Only spiders here, they don't talk much but they like to cuddle. I wish Mort was still around.
Shadow comes and visits me once in a while. He delivers mail. Coyote and Renard write once in a while, I write back, we don't say too much.
Kat used to write but not so much now. I think she never forgave me for dying. She was only student who survived, cruise ship took her back to court. Last I heard Kat got married, and has a couple kids.

Wait, so what's the plan here? More interestingly, does it hold water? Yeah, I've got a sinking feeling. It's not smart to put herself in a sink-or-swim situation. She could end up all wet. Maybe, next week we'll find out what exactly Lindsey's been doing, or if the Seraph's sent her on a distracting wild-goose chase.

The suggestion is that the portal is destroyed......but Zimmingham is not entirely gone. You can see buildings on the horizon in the last two panels, none of which were there prior to the etheric disruption. (They're not there in subsequent pages either, but I picked that one because it's calm water with a relatively wide view while still being chronologically close.) So what does that mean? Are we seeing Zimmingham brought into our world? Or was the ship moved closer to the Court due to the disruption and we're simply seeing the Court buildings? Or (and I dislike this theory but adding it for a semblance of completeness) did the ship simply not travel far from the court at all, and we've only seen the outbound view so far, and now we're looking back and realizing they've mostly been cruising in a harbour and/or along the shore?

Alright, it does seem we're getting close to a safe ending. All the kids riding on Lindsey and then of course whatever punishment the robots will receive from the Court. I hope that before the ship is destroyed, Lindsey will make it understands why this plan failed.

So, Paz has turned to foam and been absorbed by the ocean. Kat is going to merge with the ship into a mechanical bird-like person thing. Lindsey, after being turned into a set of beacons, has been fully destroyed, leading to interstellar war with the Merostomatazon. Why do you think Tom is taking the comic in this direction?

With the ship as compromised as it is in that last panel, I wouldn't be surprised if the hull's kraken.

(They're not there in subsequent pages either, but I picked that one because it's calm water with a relatively wide view while still being chronologically close.) So what does that mean? Are we seeing Zimmingham brought into our world? Maybe. Many of the readers have been commenting that the undoing of the ship and Seraphs' scheme has been too easy - maybe this is where we find out that the way the Seraphs set up the etheric distortion means that even disabling the beacons can't shut it down, and it'll require much more work to return things to normal. And our heroes had better hope that either the robot fleet is still seaworthy (though there might not be room enough in those boats for both the robots and the students) or that Lindsey can give them a ride back - as many readers have suggested (though I don't think Kat will be too keen on that solution), since I doubt that the Ship will be in a cooperative mood after this. (And might even - if it gives any thought to this amid the usual "I was so close!" rant - be all the more unwilling to return them to the Court in light of the sentencing that will probably await it there - the only question being whether it'll be the human authorities or the Robot King who'll be presiding at the trial.
