What is it?
Shadow looks interesting here haha - good art by Tom! Much more 3D and human-like than ever before - is he growing up?

Looks like the whaleboat... It has to be, because that's where the purple cables originate, but why does it look so different in this page? It seems wispy and blurry here - is it just Tom's art style, or something more?

Winged Shadow has some *ahem* aesthetically pleasing legs.

I suppose it makes sense: if Zimmy is the source, then you should have conduits leading to the Ship at the sink. Which suggests Zimmingham, here, is just leakage.

Also mad shit. Was at the Denver Museum of Natural Science over the weekend and they had a whale exhibit that centered on two whole Sperm Whale skeletons. After I stopped feeling the need to faint in abject terror, they were really quite fascinating. Looks almost precisely like the Ship's skull.

Looks like he found the angel. Or as the S Models recognize her as, the creator.

Whoa, Shadow!!
I'm pretty excited for the next page. I guess that is the whale/ship thing, but initially I thought it was something different.

Wow. It has been a while since I posted on this forum.
I agree that Shadow looks incredible here. A mixture between Icarus and the shadow creatures from Ico.
Edit: In addition, Shadow is smart enough not to go near the sun. Even if his wings don't require wax, I imagine it would not be healthy for him.

Like Icarus, that boy, when he grows those wings. I wasn't absolutely sure is there a Zimmy-effect to Shadow's appearance or have we seen him like this before, so I went back to find this. So, nothing new there.... except, is it Tom's artistic work, or perspective, or my imagination, or is Shadow more of a grown up young man now? Edit: Holy theme song, noone3 and fwip! What is wrong with you guys!? I was humming 'Sexy boy' in my head. Whoa, Shadow!! I'm pretty excited Cool down, cool down, it's just a shadow silhouette.

I doubt Shadow maturing is the cause of his more humanoid form (although I think it is very likely that he is maturing, given what we've heard so far, but that's beside the point.) I think that instead, as he wore human clothes more, his default form has changed to fit them. I assume that he can change form at will, effortlessly, but he's still most comfortable in his default form, and as he wears clothes more his default form has adapted to make the clothes more comfortable for him (possibly) and more believable for everyone else.

Or he reverts closer and closer to what "the glass eyed men" were supposed to be. After all, this started with Coyote's tooth. Possibly deliberately - as a reward for being much more entertaining than those gloomy asses.

Interesting, let's see what Kat has been up to.
Also interesting having Shadow, a being that has already been transformed from a 2D creature to a fully 3-dimensional one due to a mixture of Annie's meddling and Coyote's tricks, investigating the potential transformation of a robotic being into an organic one by Kat's science and the etheric effects of Zimmy.

Doubly interesting, since we have got the impression that Shadow isn't very comfortable with Robot's Cult of Kat.

What is that thing in the last panel? It looks like a giant cephalopod more than a whale. Did Kat change the Ship's species, or is that someone new? Wait. Kat and Paz are about to meet Shadow... transformed into half- bird? Haha, yeah! Well, that ought to be interesting. Now I'm expecting Paz to smack Kat on the back of her head for staring at Shadow's butt.

In the past, Shadows shown reluctance towards the Cult of Kat. Maybe, less towards the Cult and more towards Robot's zeal. A discussion with Love Boat could give Shadow an outlet for unresolved issues. It could be a very interesting dialogue, from an objective party with an open mind but reservations.

So I this page's art is awesome (of course!), and it's great to see Shadow flying again. But what is he actually going to do when he gets there? I guess I'll have to tune in on Friday to find out!

*looks at non-existent watch* Predicting Shadow R34 in 3.. 2.. 1.. Way, way too slow ;D they probably started R34 on Shadow the moment the page went up haha I agree that Shadow looks incredible here. A mixture between Icarus and the shadow creatures from Ico. Edit: In addition, Shadow is smart enough not to go near the sun. Even if his wings don't require wax, I imagine it would not be healthy for him. Good description! It's bothering me though - I have another comparison to make to the penultimate panel, but I can't remember the name of the character (it's on the tip of my tongue)...bah! Though his face is looking a *lot* like Leviathan's mask right now... Although this is an immensely interesting idea, I personally just like the idea that he's growing into an adult, becoming more defined (in body and personality), and perhaps returning to the much more human-shaped form shown here.
