I hope Lindsey shows up or something. We saw her earlier, right? (Also this is the first thread, right?)

You'd think the robots were actively trying to piss people off or something.

My vote is for an army of electric eels generating an EMP.

My vote is for an army of electric eels generating an EMP. Paz is going to prove herself to be more useful than Aquaman ever dared dreamed to be!

Well that was a lot more orderly than I expected. I thought the students would give more resistance than that.
Also, Paz is totally going to pull a Gandalf and rescue everyone with giant eagles somehow.

"No threat" must be somewhere on the 'Things I Will Never Say as an Evil Supervillain' list, surely?

Paz comfirmed for saving the day. Toldyouso. For Lindsey is mighty, and buoys are fragile. And robots, for that matter. Suddenly, spiders. Everywhere, spiders. Paz can communicate with spiders, too. Also... if Kat somehow can arrange transformation of metal things to flesh, wouldn't it be easier for her to perform the opposite?

Also, it turns out that Janet is still here. So much for the battle flute and fancy shooting. 46. If an advisor says to me "My liege, he is but one man. What can one man possibly do?", I will reply "This." and kill the advisor.

Lindsey is an animal, yes? Lindsey doesn't need special abilities for her to understand you, and I don't think that Paz has long distance telepathy with animals included with her powers. But maybe she can find a megaphone and summon a flock of seabirds to screw up the robots' sensors? But students, I am dissapoint. No-one trying to fight back, or even debate? Get your acts together!

At least the robots, by sending all the students out of the hall and (presumably) above deck, have removed one threat we'd discussed in earlier threads - what happens to them if they're inside when it's made flesh? Not that that makes matters much better, since even on board the ship, the students may still be within range of Zimmy's abilities.
Lindsey stepping in to solve things, as I've mentioned before, does seem the best option - especially since it could give Annie another opportunity to see that the adult staff at the Court can handle problems themselves. (And if it might seem dissatisfying to have the adult guardian saving the day rather than the young leads - Tom's already done that a few times with things like Eglamore rescuing Annie from Renard's attempt to possess her or Ysengrin's berserk fury.)
I still can't help wondering what form Zimmy's nightmare world will take out here; it's usually a twisted version of Birmingham, but Birmingham's an inland city and the ship's out in the middle of the ocean. I've the feeling the answer isn't going to be pleasant.

Paz can communicate with spiders, too. You know, this is actually interesting. What are the limits of Paz's ability? Would she be able to talk with paramecia as well? ;-)

Rude robot man turns his back on 'speaker to animals'*. From Paz's smiling expression, I predict a 'scream and leap' incident, come Monday.
*Anyone who's read 'Ringworld' will know who this is.

Paz is totally going to Aquaman this shit up! Paz is going to prove herself to be more useful than Aquaman ever dared dreamed to be! And Aquaman is a lot more dangerous than he appears to be.Don't fuck with Aquaman. Don't fuck with Paz. They can call upon whales. Or giant prehistoric lobster crabs, as the case may be.

It's probably only now dawning on most of the students that maybe they should be resisting or something... This is actually actively bothering me. I would at least buy it if it was clear the robots were zipping around at a brisk pace and actively stopping/capturing people. But it just looks like they're casually sauntering up to people and sticking things to them with little to no resistance. It's actually kinda weird. Just like the robot "getting the drop" on Annie in the last page. It didn't even look like it was moving fast! Like geeze at least add some speed lines or something there Tom. This is legitimately weird to look at. It's making all the students look like utter doofuses in the face of robots that are CANON DOOFUSES. This... this scenario really doesn't feel like it was laid out very well.
