I like how dude-formerly-known-as-Nosferatu doesn't see the destruction of the final vestige of your spirit as a death, but rather a setting free. Random thought - maybe etheric beings (spirits, souls, whatever you call them) are composed of individual etheric atoms, and each atom is able to feel emotion in a limited way. Don't bother shooting this down, it's not even a theory.

No rest for the wicked, and all that. I wasn't aware Jeanne was wicked. She seemed to be in the wrong place, at the wrong time. However, there's a chance that what currently remains of her as a coherent body of wibbly-wobbly, etheric... stuff is evil. gunnerkrigg.com/?p=777 maybe not only her heart, but her morality was destroyed in this process. (I also think that page 777 will be relevant in this discussion in other ways as well)

He has other Dry Clean Only masks for special occasions. You know, how work always bleeds into your personal life. Of course, he's really big on the Halloween Etsy stores. Maybe, too much...
I hope this spurs Annie into asking more questions about Ether specifics. For Etheric computers, Etheric metal golems, and etcetera to be possible, I can't imagine the Ether being completely incomprehensible. Or does that make me a spoilsport?

No rest for the Wicked is a phrase, just meaning that a sinners work is never done (and in the biblical sense, everyone is a sinner). I think he was referring to Annie, not resting until she finds a way to release Jeanne.

I've seen this video at least five times over the years. It's still hilarious every time.

(I also think that page 777 will be relevant in this discussion in other ways as well) Good point. Hmm, her body "was ensnared by that green light". Well, we got a closer look at that light yesterday, what with the etheric bird and sun-like symbols. I wonder whether she was using a figure of speech, like "I stood transfixed" (sorry, poor choice of words given Green Guy's condition) and she just wasted away in her grief, or was there were some etheric action beyond that. Clearly the suggestion is that something was done to her, but there's really no actual indication of that. We know something was done directly to Green Guy, and she referenced her heart (and George's) so there's an indication that love is involved somehow. Still, though, that could be poetic speech or something different. I get the feeling like Annie would do well to go ask Anja about this. Her natural means of interacting with etherics (as opposed to the etheric computer) seem to be more in tune with that sport of thing.
