Well, the Librarian has a gold/orange nose and lip piercing while the Special Cases Librarian has a red nose and lip piercing. So they are sort of different...unless that guy just changes those a lot. (I have no piercings so I don't know what goes into that.)

I think you guys are overthinking this (not that that's never happened before). It seems pretty clear to me that it's the same guy, in the same room, but Kat is the only one who can see this.

Also, don't forget this is a comic people, if Tom wanted us to think these are 2 different people, he would have made them look more different. (even if Kat thinks it's the same guy, Tom would have made them more different if he didn't want us to think it's the same guy) So it's clearly the same guy I think you guys are overthinking this (not that that's never happened before). Its possible that there are many of the same type of creature that work in these rooms and they just appear the same to Kat. Hopefully by now Annie and Mort realize that Kat is having a completely different experience.

Yeah, and hopefully Kat will enlighten them to help them see past whatever nonsense these guys are projecting. I mean seriously, it's all just gum in the gears and red tape in scary form! Nothing gets done because they have no oversight, and they have no oversight because they try and scare everyone off! No wonder Jeanne is still stuck down in the canyon, her name is probably buried in a file somewhere...

I think RobesGuy1 and RobesGuy2 are the same person. They're both depicted as having the lower face of a pimply carnie teenager. The piercings are indeed the same. The pimply markings on RobesGuy2 are slightly different than RobseGuy1, but I personally think that's just artistic freedom. Also notice that RobesGuy2 doesn't deny that they're the same, and just goes about his duties because he has to (think: guy who has to work at kids' birthday parties, and just does his schtick because that's what he's hired to do, even when the one troublemaker kid tries to call him on his shoddy magic tricks)

They're a similar enough color that any differences can be attributed to the color gradient shading that Tom is using. Either the two beings are the same guy, or Tom wants to make them look like the same guy; as someone above me noted, comic artists, because of the nature of their genre, tend to differentiate their characters more than that.

This is entirely like the outdoors games we did as boyscouts / girlscouts. The first, second and third trial recycled actors and props.

This wasn't Asterix's first encounter with that kind of bureaucratic circularity; he ran into another such case in "Asterix the Legionary" (complete with asking someone where to find the Information Bureau, to which the other guy said "I've no idea. Ask the Information Bureau, and they'll tell you.").
