Here's the part of the show where we go back through the old thread and see who won internet cookies. I'm pretty sure more than one person guessed right.

It's time to see what Jeanne has been up to lately.

Hands up all who immediately flicked back a few pages to see if there was any chance that was Parley at the "funeral".
Tom's best troll in a while.
ETA: Oooooooh that's Parley practicing against robot, and not Parley looking in a mirror while wearing a robot mask. Well, carry on then. They're awfully close tothe wall for sword practice, though.

What is Parley using to practice? A bokken. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BokkenI have one similar, they're mostly used as solo practice weapons as they can break bones.

Apparently Parley is brushing up on her Kendo. Never a bad idea, considering the formidable length of Jeanne's armament.

And of course, the already-shown casualwear. So they're down by the workshops this time..guessing Pearl and Smitty were involved in getting [webcam] there. Also kudos to Kat for keeping her screen clean and not letting it get all smudged up with fingerprints

So it's now confirmed that Jeanne can damage physical, non-etheric things. Hope that answers Annie's etheric cheek-poke.

Interesting, Jeanne reacts to anything heading into the Waters. I wonder why Annie didn't get diced when she fell off the bridge then. Something to do with the Tic-Tocs, maybe? What is Parley using to practice? A bokken. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BokkenI have one similar, they're mostly used as solo practice weapons as they can break bones. Which is of course still preferable to using actual swords when practicing. Also, what I find interesting is that Parley seems to be the one with the wooden sword and Robot with the metal one. A reaction to her chopping Robot in half?

Thank you! Now I wonder why she isn't using the longsword... Nothing wrong with multiple weapon proficiencies.

That bokken looks suspiciosly like shaped after the Coyote Tooth to me.

Looks like they've got a wooden mockup of Coyote's sword for her to practice with. The question is, how helpful is that going to be? If it can cut through anything (even a soul, perhaps?) I would imagine that Jeanne's blade would be pretty flimsy as a defense. Of course, that would make for a pretty boring story; maybe it cuts through any physical object, but is also able to actually duel with etheric weapons, instead of being instantly defeated.
Edit: ninja'ed by one comment!

That bokken looks suspiciosly like shaped after the Coyote Tooth to me. Makes sense. It was set up for her to use against Jeanne and she obviously can't practice with the real one.

I remember somewhere that Coyote commented Jeanne is a powerful being, so his sword may not have much destructive property against Jeanne's. And I still think the most likely purpose of the blade is aimed at Jones. E: That's Jeanne's sword, actually.

Random thought with the post-capture "sharpening" ..is it out of the question that Kat might have come up with Lytro-esque tech? Could the ridges seen last page be lenses? The sharpen slider would be more plausible with that, anyways.. Though at the end of the day I'm guessing it's just Tom poking fun at CSI, but it's interesting to think about

Hm... The image enhancement might actually work if it's based on Etheric Technology... Interesting, Jeanne reacts to anything heading into the Waters. I wonder why Annie didn't get diced when she fell off the bridge then. Something to do with the Tic-Tocs, maybe? I think it's that the Tic-Tocks managed to divert Annie towards the shore before she fell into Jeanne's "kill zone". Looks like they've got a wooden mockup of Coyote's sword for her to practice with. The question is, how helpful is that going to be? If it can cut through anything (even a soul, perhaps?) I would imagine that Jeanne's blade would be pretty flimsy as a defense. Actually, the Tooth's record for cutting etheric stuff is 0-1, as it failed to bisect Shadow2. I suspect that it'll in fact be worthless against anything etheric, (including Jeanne) being entirely focused on physical objects.

Jeanee slicing everything that falls down there alittle weird. That's a pretty damn hard secret to keep.
it begs questions like, Why didn't Jeanee chop up Kat when she flew down there, or Ysgrin, ore even Ann
Maybe she is like Paranormal Activity and the more people fear her the stronger she gets

No Microsat 5? Darn.
I'm guessing that Jeanne normally patrols the Court's side of the shore, and the Tic-Tocs saved Annie by carrying her to the Forest's side.
Also, I notice that Robot is giving Jeanne a pretty major handicap; a bokken versus a fencing foil?
