*facepalms* Kat is WAY overdoing it, lolz.
Anyways, cool looking bio mechanical prototype there.

That's a Tic-Toc wing, or Kat's prototype equivalent, I'd stake my life on it! She's getting Paz's help on the project!

It may seem like just a Squeeish romantic scene, but that thing in the tray is the single most important advancement in medical technology since the vaccine.

I think I get it.
Paz has robots write her nervous love letters. Kat has bio-mechanical prototypes perform her nervous tics.
...I hope Kat lets Paz push the button.

Also I think Kat's copping a feel in the fourth panel.

In addition to somehow defining their relationship? I'm not exactly sure how that's going to work.

The muscle attachment for the bicep equivalent seems a bit far up what is the forearm, but um, yeah, prototype. And I tHink the whole restraunty setup is confusing Paz.

Filet au science, a sliver of petri-dish muscle pan seared in olive oil and charged with a 50 volt current. I know right? Getting kind of grabby in the fourth panel...

I really hope that they'll start building little creatures using SCIENCE and a little love. I can totally see them as adults maintaining an aviary of biologically engineered birds.

The contents of the tray look like Kat's hasty attempt to recreate the album cover of In Sides.
There's nothing else I can say, except that this is my favourite page of Gunnerkrigg Court yet.

I'd like it when it turned out she left the hasty preparations to the robots and doesn't know herself what they put on the tray.
Also, that half visible machine on panel 6 cries out to be remade into boxbot!

I like how Kat's hand gesture in panel 5 is reminiscent of feathers. Nice little touch, Tom.

Actually the first thing I thought of, before I saw it was a wing. Obligatory link to Galvani's frog legs. That's a creeepy first date. "Dinner? No that's the skinless bio-mechanic wing prototype for the robot I'm growing, that made the other robots declare me their friggin' messiah. We're gonna test if it twitches when we electrocute it. Wanna press the button?" I mean, yeah I guess she tried to do something impromptu to see what Paz intentions are, but a romantic scientific test is a really bad idea for that. ... I just noticed, I just explained the joke, didn't I? Still, I'd guess Paz freaks out. It may seem like just a Squeeish romantic scene, but that thing in the tray is the single most important advancement in medical technology since the vaccine.^This I think she's fine, being an old-fashioned gentleman, and elegant as that. I do not mean to come of as rude, but if you click the little gear next to the like button on top of each post, you can then click "Select Post". If you then click "Quote" on a different post or just directly reply to the thread, you can quote multiple other posts in one post. (Yes, I have an irrational aversion against double posts.)

Hey, what are the odds that Kat will end up etherically-retroactively inventing the Tic-Tocs? Yep, or sent them back in time. And then we'll learn that Diego used them as the inspiration for the original court robots, closing the paradox and blowing Kat's mind. ...my favorite improbable theory, anyway.

If you then click "Quote" on a different post or just directly reply to the thread, you can quote multiple other posts in one post. (Yes, I have an irrational aversion against double posts.) Frankly, I do not understand what you mean by double-posting. To me it means posting same thing twice. I am, however, not into posting a lot of little posts, but actually tend to write few long posts rather than many short ones, trying to discuss the whole topic at once. However, I have an aversion against discussing different topics in same post. I don't even think that is irrational, because it becomes messy and as a result, I at least tend not to read a post if it jumps from issue to another. Now I only read this part of your post because, firstly, I had a notification leading to the post, telling me I was quoted, and secondly, because seeing my avatar there I was fast to see what concerned me. But the rest seemed non-related so I just passed it by and still have no idea what you wrote in the rest of it. It would be totally different, if there was a big discussion on same topic and I could quote everybody who has recently contributed to it in the same post. Of course, even then you sometimes prefer, for practical reasons, the fast way of taking just one post at a time and leaving the rest for the future. Edit: here, of course, as the latter post was merely a little joke, I could have added it to the end of the first post as a side note that it basically is. However, I recall I was unaware of its existence when quoting the first post, and it really would make little sense to go and add it afterwards, particularly to an unrelated post.
