Geez, chill out Treebeard.
Incidentally, does anybody know if these critters are based on any actual mythology?

I like the guy's face. It looks like he's thinking 'Seriously guys?' with a little blood-lust.

YES THE GIRL IN FLAMES SHE IS CLEARLY A HUMAN. I SEE FLAMING HUMANS EVERY DAY. I AM ACTUALLY ON FIRE RIGHT NOW. IT'S QUITE COMFORTABLE ONCE YOU ADJUST TO THE SLIGHT TICKLING SENSATION. (Ha - Digger looks like she's thinking, "Shouldn't you be taking care of that?")

Careful, Annie, you're pulling aggro.

That strategy might just work, if they cover up the red buttons on their heads first.

Also: the girl is not entirely human, especially when on fire.

These odds really aren't fair. They should really have more bodies if they hope to get anywhere near Annie. I mean come on at least give yourselves a sporting chance.

This introduction is not going well so far. I think it is going perfectly. This is how diplomacy works in this part of forest. First thing you need to do is establish dominance, that is their language. If Annie didn't fight them first, they wouldn't respect her. Coyote is the boss, his plan working perfectly. Another part of forest might have different way to establish dominance but for here is matter of fighting to be alpha wolf or butting heads to be alpha bull/ram/cow/ewe/etc. Even Bambi had to butt heads to keep his girlfriend. (I have sheep and even the females butt heads sometimes to practice or establish pecking order. I once had a female who just gave birth and it was cold and so put her in warmer indoor garage room with rabbits. She got a little depressed in there, and wasn't accepting her baby very well, so I had to hold her every few hours for baby to get food from her. But afterwards she got out and first thing she did was butt heads and she was happier, and accepted her baby. )

Set your enemies on fire. Then do the same to the rain. (Sorry for being lame)

This would be a fine moment for Annie to figure out how Surma did the flying thing. Throwing fire is a fine defense, but it's even better from a save position.

Geez, chill out Treebeard. He's kinda hasty, isn't he? No, no guys, that one is Quickbeam. Treebeard is off in a corner watching the goings-on, HOOM-HOMing to himself pensively.

When there's nothing left to burn, you have to set yourself on fire.

Ysengrin's expression cracks me up. Also, Mr. Trollbeard evidently decided that it's not warm enough on the top side of that frying pan.

Still not convinced I see.... Geez, chill out Treebeard. Incidentally, does anybody know if these critters are based on any actual mythology? Maybe loosely? Three of them on 1242 (including the tusked guy we can't really see the face of) are certainly ogres or trolls and the one on 1254 looks like a skull headed minotaur. Most of the humanoid ones seem to be various 'goblins' and 'gremlins' with a heavy dose of toms imagination mixed in. Treebeard here looks like he could be an Ent, but he seems rather fearless of fire. Or maybe he knows better to stay out of the fray and is just directing everybody's attention to Annie who is definetly drawing aggro.

Treebeard seems a little too eager to burn. Some of these fellows may be masochists, and enjoying themselves as much as Ysengrin. Luckily, Annie has Plot Armor. Their attacks will be as fatal, as a Stormtrooper's aim. I hope.

Oddly, a barbecue seems highly inappropriate in the middle of abandoned Court ruins.
She has a habit of uncovering the unseen, though, so fire away. Hit something cool, Annie!

Forest creatures can't catch you if you're on fire.
Also: when Ys gets the fire-buff and starts punching dudes, imagine the Popeye theme starting to play.

I think this is working out pretty well, actually. Ysengrin is on fire, and beating all comers. They are now in the position of acknowledging his dominance, and decide to try Antimony, who will also be on fire, and will not be losing any fights anytime soon. Her status is neither above nor below Ysengrin's, since they're not going to fight, but will definitely be above theirs after the embers cool, at least amongst the survivors. I'm guessing they have no real notion that the fire is all hers, and that she's the only reason Ysengrin is now on top. I just hope that Ysengrin doesn't resent her help.
