I did a quick search and didn't find a thread already on this, apologies if I missed it. What's your favorite page, or chapter, if you don't have one? This has to be mine: www.gunnerkrigg.com/?p=595"I must save them!"

My favorite chapter is a tie between the Power Station and Faraway Morning, but my favorite page would have to be Kat as machine god.

Best page(s): 282, 597, 788, 828, 1230, and 1159, perhaps? so hard to choose. Also, Friday's comic's first several panels were unspeakably badass.
Further question: What is the worst page?
I submit the answer of page 1089 as the most terrible non-boxbot page.

This comic has a crapton of amazing pages but if I had to choose just one single page as the very best of them all, I'd choose these two. Those are the best of the best of the thing most central to the comic: the friendship between Annie and Kat. ...I also compiled a list of honorary mentions (listed from simply amazingly great to absolutely awesome-tastic): Laser cows are amazing and need to be mentioned on this list. Coyote's power demonstrated.Divine. This page reminds me a lot of the Sandman comics, and that's not exactly a bad series to be reminded of. Tom being a tease. It has some of the most gorgeous artwork of any page though. Ysengrin and Coyote in their ethereal forms. Jeanne's sacrifice. It is terrible but beautiful. Fire Spike. I love how the fire eats away the borders. Time stop. This is the page that made me realize that Coyote might be awesome and funny, but he's also utterly insane and terrifying. Coyote isn't just terrifying, he can be downright evil. Lindsey. I absolutely did not expect that. The Great Secret revealed. Machine angel Katerina. Maiden voyage of the proud ship Kat x Paz.

Okay, finally got through the archives. Favorite Page For . . . Writing: www.gunnerkrigg.com/?p=609 (The Laser Cows are pretty much the best anyway, but this page has some particularly good dialogue from them.) Art: www.gunnerkrigg.com/?p=1109 (Okay, even naked Jones aside, this is pretty gorgeous.) Comedy: www.gunnerkrigg.com/?p=602 (Had to go with more Laser Cows. They need their own spinoff series.) Drama: www.gunnerkrigg.com/?p=92 (This and several of the pages before and after it are one of the most touching character moments in the comic.) Weirdness: www.gunnerkrigg.com/?p=839 (Oh, and Jones was there too.) Last Page: www.gunnerkrigg.com/?p=96 (OH LORD STRIKE ME DOWN) Overall: www.gunnerkrigg.com/?p=1202 (zomg squeeeeeeeeee) Favorite Chapter For . . . Writing: Power Station (Lotta good stuff going on in this one, lots of good character bits especially.) Art: From the Forest She Came (Annie looks amazing in her forest outfit, among other things.) Comedy: Residential (I'm telling you, Laser Cows. It's the way of the future.) Drama: Sky Watcher and the Angel (Sure, we've got Robot King making goofy faces, but the revelations about Diego and Jeanne . . . damn. Just, damn.) Weirdness: Divine (That Zimmy is one weird chick.) Overall: The Stone (Jooooooonezzzzzzzzzzz)

Hard to name one page, but it was this story that caught my curiosity, and I think maybe this one that caught my eye and this strange page that made me read the comic from the beginning, which eventually got me hooked. So, it must still be one of those two, but it's not really just the particular pages, it was the multi-layered storyline and the beautiful artwork that got me into this comic. I found it pleasant to watch but hardly understood anything about what was happening in it, and figured out that this latter condition was not because of it being senseless series of action, but because of the multi-layered storyline. This had something positively postmodern about it, and I just had to read it from the beginning to understand what is going on. To my disappointment, I'm still not sure what was going on there, but I have a hunch and at least I can make sense out of those pages and have an understanding that they will in time turn understandable in this story.

I've always liked this one too. But even more than "Oh Lord, Strike me down", which is hilarious, I love that Rey is playing with Batman, Hellboy(?) and Fox Mulder figures a tea party with "Professor Oswald" discussing how "lethargic the hyacinths are this year".

The begonias and agapanthus, however, are flourishing.

Personally, I think the Nancy Drew/Rey scene is similar, but a bit better. But who am I to judge.
