And now this page has me wondering if the whole "I intended to kill her, but Eglamore stopped me" story is just what he's telling to Hetty, so she doesn't flip out and do something rash.

Hmm. He's dropping all of her stuff. I think he's going to drop Hetty soon.

Way to drop the ball, Rey.

Rey had better be about to tell Hetty to get stuffed.

I hope they still work out as a couple; I'd like to see their kids.

Too punny guys, including me.
While I doubt the ability of two toys belonging to separate species to produce children, I definitely hope Hetty doesn't go anywhere soon.

Is that what he's dropping? Looks like a mirror or something that's falling to the floor.

Rey should just possess Hetty. That would solve a lot of problems right away.
In fact, if you think about it there are a lot of tricks Rey could pull with the "just has to have eyes" technicality, including having inanimate doppelgangers of himself to switch between.

Well he'd have to be able to leave Annie's wolf toy first...

Too punny guys, including me. At least everyone kept their dignity enough to avoid any "punish the porcelain" references. While I doubt the ability of two toys belonging to separate species to produce children, I definitely hope Hetty doesn't go anywhere soon. Hey, if a dude and a fire elemental can start Antimony's line in this Gunnerverse I don't see why two magical haunted dolls can't have a shot. And then there's the merchandising possibilities for a new take on little lycanthrope fashion dolls. Part porcelain, part plushie, all fun! And if you think Hetty's nutz now wait until the third trimester!

I could have sworn I remembered that part not too long ago.

Well he'd have to be able to leave Annie's wolf toy first... Reynardine can't take a new body without Annie's permission. And it'd be dangerous for her to grant that permission, since her control over him is based on the fact that she owns the toy he's possessing. Now, Renard may have come to regret trying to kill/possess Annie, but that doesn't mean the Court would stand for him changing bodies, and they'd also take action against Annie for allowing it. (In this case, with him taking over Hetty's body, Rey would at least still be under some control - but he'd now be bound to Adam, who is almost certainly not as capable as Annie of handling such a responsibility.)

What if leaving an inanimate object destroyed it?

I think Tom that inanimate objects (and non-living beings such as robots) would not be affected if Renard left their bodies.

What if leaving an inanimate object destroyed it? Well the bodies he leaves behind aren't destroyed. I'd assume that it's just whatever soul happens to be squatting in that body gets pushed out when Renard enters. No soul, nothing hurt.

Shame he's referring to is his shame for trying to possess Annie. As he just said he had just become aware of Surma's death and had been in solitary confinement for years.
He'll try to persuade Hetty to reveal herself to Adam, she refuses. Fight. Renard either kills or subdues her. Depending on if she still exists, Renard informs Adam of her existence/his responsibility.
When Renard returns to the dorms and Annie asks about his day he's just like "Same old, same old. Went to bother Eggers a bit."
The middle part's likely BS. As reasonably sure as one can be with this comic about the first and last part.

"It is a shame."
Oh gosh, do you think he means it? Like he actually wishes he had killed Annie - and maybe he still wants to kill her. That would cast their relationship in a whole different light.

When it finally dawned on Rey that Hetty's 'Adam Project' came under Annie's classification of 'something suspicious', you could have heard a pin drop!
A shame, really!

Didn't Annie told him he could go back to his old body anytime, and he decided not to? I could have sworn I remembered that part not too long ago. I think I remember her saying that he could return to the woods, if he liked. I don't think she brought him changing bodies into it. Somebody please draw Renard and Hetty's babies. Before I do. Oh gosh, do you think he means it? Like he actually wishes he had killed Annie - and maybe he still wants to kill her. That would cast their relationship in a whole different light. As Toloc said, I think Renard is ashamed of himself. He is ashamed that Eglamore had to intervene. He is ashamed that he went so far as to try to take Antimony's body, and kill her. He is ashamed that he didn't stop himself sooner. That's what I think. It's just like Tom to keep us guessing like this, though.

I predict a killing spree invloving one victim only. But ultimately none will die, because Annie can't die, she's the main character.

I think I remember her saying that he could return to the woods, if he liked. I don't think she brought him changing bodies into it. If they went to the forest they could put him back into his original body... if that fits Coyote's whims and intentions.

Now I have the Talk Talk song stuck in my head. Well done.
As for Renard and Hetty, looks like someone's 'bout to get told. Afaics, the "It *is* a shame" is just the opening line for the smackdown-to-come.
