She starts to resemble someone we know, doesn't she? Wonder if that's a coincidence.

Can we just have the team that took away Zimmy's science project come in and take Hetty away now? I'm concerned she'll start flaking off resin dust or something and get everyone sick. Or start leaking pure evil as well as resin dust. Deadly combo.

Finally, Rey puts his foot down. Nice to see I'm not the only one who though Zimmy here too

Hmm, creepy. Hopefully Renard will step in now to do something. Although I still think that somehow he is going to get blamed for whatever happens when it goes wrong. Also just for reference, given the talk about symbols recently, the alchemical arsenic symbol:

Helloooooo, Zimmy! Let more of your creatures out for a walk?

So the way she looked before is nothing but an affectation, a conscious effort to appear cute and harmless instead of horrible and malign. (Yes I think she was cute. Not creepy.)

I'm reluctant to claim any connection between her and Zimmy. Just because we have physical similarity doesn't mean they're related.
On a side note, now I'm really emotionally invested in Hetty, so we need to see how this pans out.

There definitely is a resemblance between Hetty and Zimmy now, but whether or not that's just coincidence remains to be seen.
Hetty's symbol has no resemblance to any of the symbols I could find for arsenic.
I have a feeling that Rey is about to draw that figurative line in the sand.
If you'll forgive the pun, I think Hetty is a little cracked. ;-)

I've taken that Zimmy-ish look to indicate something wrong etherically. Like a deprivation, a disorder of the soul / etheric constitution.

Holy moly! I did not expect her to go off the deep end that quickly! If this is really the famous Mehitable "Hitty", she's been trapped in the body of a doll for about 200 years. I'm not surprised she's gone crazy. I actually feel a little sorry for her.

Zimmy's real name is Zeta, Gamma is Gamma. What if she's Hetty instead of Hitty because her real name is Eta? Eta btw is H in the greek alphabet.

If she does end up having to do something with Zimmy, then maybe she also has something to do with the toy shop Zimmy and Gamma meet up in, every time they're separated in that world of hers. Though it's a pretty far stretch, going off visuals alone, and the shop seemed to have more stuffed animals, really.

I suspect Hetty already knows it could kill the boy. I've loved watching Hetty progress from a cute nuisance to a sociopathic murderer. Fantastic story telling Tom.

I hope Rey backs away slowly.... then slams a door, gets in a car and zooms off, (old)-Simpsons-style!

I wonder what would happen if Hetty... broke. Or Renard for that matter. I dont think we know what would happen if Renard got torn or something.
Also, Woo! the crack I noticed last page was important!

I hope Rey backs away slowly.... then slams a door, gets in a car and zooms off, (old)-Simpsons-style! But, wouldn't that mean he's abandoning the situation? Without Rey's help it might be harder on Hettie to do more damage, permanent or otherwise to Adam. Nonetheless, I'm sure she'll manage. I'm hoping he'll try to reason with her, warn Adam, and maybe consult with Annie.

Reynardine is willing to go along with pin- and lighter fluid-based attacks, but he's drawing the line at arsenic.

"...crack is showing!" On the other topic: Yes, Hetty is starting to look like Zimmy. But even though Zimmy is really angry and impolite most of the time, she has never be seen to harm anyone else, has she? Apart from throwing a stick at a tic-toc.

Your cheesy flakes are coming loose girl, control yourself. I actually pictured a high society-esque setting where other possessed porcelain dolls tell Hetty to control herself, and that letting herself get to the point of cracking her porcelain is just plain indecent. What will the commonfolk think if they see her in this state? In other news, that therapy scene from Wreck-It Ralph just played in my head. "I am bad, and that is good..."
