Any chance this volume (Vol. 1) is still being made or soon in stock? I've just started reading and Gunnerkrigg is fantastic, I'd love to have it in hard copy!
Cheers on your works, you have great talent!

Behold, the wonders of Google. Ok. Thank, I guess I should have seen that coming, I'll rephrase. I assumed that the shop linked to in Tom's posts would give the artist the most return, as opposed to Amazon etc. That's the reason I ask. SO; If there is a particular shop I can order from that will see the most proceeds going to the artist, I would be interested to know. And thanks for the lovely Google assist, brought me back to 2008

I would assume Archaia kicks him back a decent sum as well, as they are his publishing company. If both of those are out of stock and you have your heart set on being author friendly (an admirable thing, to be sure) I'm afraid the only other option is to wait until they restock. Each time a new book comes out, they do a reprint of the old ones (or at least that's what happened for the last couple), so if the problem is not enough books in existence, it will be remedied come Volume 5.

Ah, right on, great news on the reprints. I can wait for a restock, just hoping it comes.
Cheers

I'm pretty sure Tom has said topatoco is the only way he gets money, his contract means he doesn't see anything from copies bought from archaia or retail shops. But he's said he still encourages it, just to let suppliers know there's a demand.

So... he doesn't even get royalties from Archia's sales?
That's a pretty raw deal.

As far as I know, Tom got a rather standard publishing deal: He got a cash advance for the publishing of each book, and the publisher gets all the profits up to a certain number of sales. Any sales past that point, and Tom starts getting royalties.
A few years back, I recall Tom tweeting about getting a royalty check. That it was only enough to cover his utility bills for the month.

I wish I had more disposable income, I donated, but people with such talent should be able to make it big.
Hopefully that didn't come off wrong, please read it in a good way.
