Panel 3 "Something tells me you are a lucky one, mighty eyebrows boy" Compare Page 957 Panel 3 "You're a lucky boy" This ain't gonna end well... (Or just a hint regarding his powers of manipulating probability -> luck) Yeah, renard was speaking in a different context, that he was lucky to have such a great girlfriend, I don't think coyote is referring to that fact in that particular panel.

So everyone gets a name except the headmaster who is just a "leathery bag of bones". Hmmm.

that yellow text kind of makes my eyes bleed. I know, right? If you highlight it, the bleeding stops. It's even better than spoiler tags because it actively encourages you not to look at it. It annoys anyone looking at the given page, but at the bright (sorry) side, it actively encourages using addons and Greasemonkey scripts to enhance the experience with phpBB. I can't breathe Wild guess: the ol' mummy drags on longer than a typical human life because Coyote regularly tans him like this. But resents that constant smell. ;D Did Coyote just make Renard laugh? Alert the press! Before this meeting, Renard snickered not to make Smitty and Parley blush. He snickered because he knows Coyote too well and expected this.

This might be the correct thread title, but there's always going to be a special place in my heart for the name "Mighty Eyebrows Boy".

Hmm.. Coyote seems completely OK with Annie not being made the medium, even after all the time he's invested in her. And this happens shortly after he knowingly let Ysengrin scare the whatsits out of her, leaving a lasting impression (as we saw from her flinching in 1151) that makes her less eager to go back to the forest
Suddenly the outcome of that "great secret" episode looks a bit less like wanton cruelty and more like part of a bigger plan..

I think what I'm most looking forward to here is how Smit interacts with Coyote. Yeah! More of those two! Who knows what kind of shenanigans they'll commit! In the near future, we'll have a comic with Coyote and Smitty with a dead hooker: "Just don't tell Parley, man! Just-", followed by the sound of weeping. Hmm.. Coyote seems completely OK with Annie not being made the medium, even after all the time he's invested in her. And Annie still has Coyote's tooth. I would imagine that's an importnant investment on his part.

That second panel ._. Coyote's still got it.
Also, how will Coyote manipulate Annie if she's not allowed into Gillitie anymore? Whatever plan he had cooking with the Giggleblade doesn't seem very... finished.
And I want Annie and Ysengrin to say something, anything! Coyote's crazy shenanigans aren't enough!

My prediction:
I think Coyote will find a way of overruling the court's decision to block Annie from the forest. I think that he'll invite her to the forest as her family (e.g. Surma but I think others as well) were friends of his. However, I think he will upset Annie by conceding that Eglamore should accompany her throughout her visits to the forest.

I think the Court Medium was supposed be there to distract Coyote and steer the proceedings into a... somewhat sane course before the old bag'o'bones fainted. Oh, wait...

I would read the spankies out of a comic that was about the adventures of a superhero couple Mighty Eyebrows Boy and Huge Nose Girl!
I don't know about the villain though... Dr. Leathery Sack of Bones?

How come Smits got such a better name than Parley's? I demand a new nickname by the end of Coyote and Parley's next encounter!

I'm beginning to wonder if Coyote has anything that can upset him.
Maybe he's just so above puny mortals that nothing anyone does can worry him.

Has Coyote ever even met Kat? I don't think he has. Neither has Ysengrin... I wonder what sort of first impressions they'll get when they're finally introduced. What I'm even more curious of is what sort of reactions they'll have to Zimmy. I predict that this will be the first time we'll ever get to see a crack in Coyote's nerve. (Ironically, Ysengrin is the wild card this time... He may fly into a rampage, or he may be the only one from the Forest able to keep his cool around her.)

I love the way leathery-bag-of-bones is trying to keep his composure, but that provokingly 'bored' mask is cracking as Coyote gives him the gift of closeness and saliva.

That second panel ._. Coyote's still got it. Also, how will Coyote manipulate Annie if she's not allowed into Gillitie anymore? Whatever plan he had cooking with the Giggleblade doesn't seem very... finished. To be fair, in the fables Coyote mostly ends up as the idiot who didn't think things through. From a certain point of view he already lost Renard that way. Has Coyote ever even met Kat? I don't think he has. Neither has Ysengrin... I wonder what sort of first impressions they'll get when they're finally introduced. Well, Kat wasn't to impressed with Muut who is basically a manifestation of Death itself. (When I think about it that's interesting, taking into account the theories of Kat becoming the Robot Psychopomp). She even punches him for what he and his have done to Annie. Might be interesting to see what she'd do with a potential army of cyborg acolytes behind her when confronted with someone who repeatedly tried to harm/kill Annie.

I am deeply impressed that Smitty and George* kept their composure enough not to BIP straight to the moon or something in that last panel. I can practically feel the heat from their blushes through my screen!
*wow, after reading this thread their names sound weird and somehow wrong.
(Also, I hope that in the last panel, they are holding hands where we can't see. That would make me smile so I'm going to say it's true unless/until proven otherwise. I think they'd need to do so to support each other during this mad-crazy series of events.)

I CAN'T WAIT for "Mighty Eyebrows Boy" to make his first visit to the forest as Medium. I feel like it will be hilarious, though maybe a bit traumatising for him. Also, I don't think this will really stop Annie from visiting the forest. I mean, she'll have to find some way of sneaking over, but I doubt that will stop her. Maybe she can enlist Hyland's help.

Maybe the visits to the forest have fulfilled their role in the story, and so are coming to an end.

I'm starting to think that maybe leathery-bag-of-bones wanted a medium that had little in the way of contact with the forest. That and Annie was acting very rudely lately, so she probably brought this upon herself.
