Exactly. Jones doesn't look human, humans look Jones. I love this line. Now we know what Llanwellyn meant when Jones said (of Ysengrin's tree armor) that she's "never seen anything quite like it" and he replied "Coming from you, that troubles me greatly". Yeah, we all thought we knew approximately what he meant. We thought wrong. Jones having never seen anything quite like it means a hell of a lot more than we imagined...

I love the artwork so far in this Chapter, but Tom does have a few Bits more time to go if he chooses... Days, Months, Years, Centuries, Millenia, Epoch , Periods. Era is just a timeline of something specific, such as the Era of Jones- which crosses several periods apparently. This is not technically true. In geological terms, 'era' means something specific, and there are only 3 defined Eras: the Paleozoic, the Mesozoic, and the Cenozoic. Tom's pretty much at the end of time that humanity has divided up into eras. Past this, it's just the Proterozoic Eon, the Archean Eon, and the Hadean, which does not even have an official "time" designation. Paleontologists/Geologists don't really subdivide these past Eons because, when you get right down to it, there really aren't that many huge landmarks events in Earth's history in all those 4 billion years to make it worthwhile. What I'm waiting to see if Jones was around for the ELE that Caused the extinction of 60%+ of all life and started the Silurian Period. That would mean she has lived through TWO ELE's and Gunnerkrigg may well be her end-game creation as a means for Mankind to survive the next ELE. At the point she's at right now, we already know she's lived through 4 of the 5 mass extinctions, including the worst at the end of the Permian (90%+ of all life died). I'm not sure she'd see the next one any differently than all the others, but I guess she does have friends now, so mayhaps...

New page is up. Same as the last page. I'm officially bored of this. The art is pretty, but I think I got a week more left in me before the same happens. Plot, plz. It was slightly more interesting when there was other life for her to interact with. Can't imagine how boring things must be from her perspective. Oh wait, she's asleep. :/

I hardly post anyway~ Fatigue is probably effecting my mood(I had to spellcheck to figure out how to spell fatique. hurr durr), but I'm just echoing the same sentiment someone else has already given; We get the point. I think part of the problem is that a one page per update comic is not a good format for this kind of thing. If it were a bulk release comic, you could enjoy the time passage panels at your leisure. I'd probably skip ahead then, when I see the progression has ended, I'd go examine each page more closely when I had a more full idea of what was going on. As of now, I feel more like I'm playing a waiting game than I am reading a comic. Hopefully this whole thing will climax to such a degree that I feel foolish for having ever made this post.

You could do what some do, which is just skip a whole week and come back to three new pages, but that requires quite a lot of self-discipline.

Gunnerkrigg is my crack. I used to wait a month then spend an afternoon reading through a whole list of bookmarks. Tons of comics. Now I faithfully check Gunnerkrigg at two AM on the dot every time, and only Gunnerkrigg. I always check at two am on the dot unless I'm asleep.
Well, I read Prequel as well still, but it has no actual update schedule.
