90 degree rotation is easy especially with a handhold. Do it on your chair. (Her leg is kinda ginormous though.) A great picture, but to me Annie's legs seem to be pointing much further away from her torso in the actual page. I mean, your drawing gives a perfectly reasonable 90 degree angle or so between her legs and torso, while what I see in the comic seems closer to 170 degrees, which is crazy.

I agree with Jombra's view of the situation. It doesn't look awkward to me at all. Or rather, it hurts my spine to look at it but I have no trouble believing a limber young girl could do that, and probably more.

It probably looks so out of whack because Ys is blocking most of Annie there. Ys has been around the Trickster so long he's tricksing past the fourth wall!

I think your seeing her leg as if it was in the same position as the next panel after. This is only a quick hug, so I can see her turning her legs enough to pull it off. I've seen a small, limber girl turn her torso almost 180 degrees as well, but I'm comfortable with my interpretation and don't even think Annie went that far.

I do not have a good feeling about this chapter. At all. Too serene. Annie's about to get sucker punched by a sack of bricks. I wonder if Annie is carrying the Stick of Eglamore Summonation? If she feels that much more comfortable with Ysengrin, it may not even occur to her any more that it might be needed. In that outfit, does she even have a pocket where she could comfortably carry it without risk of breaking it?

I completely forgot about that magic stick.

Aw, I love how intimate this page is, each person in their own way.
Also, I forgot about the Eglamore Summonation item. I doubt she is as worried about moving between the two societies as much anymore. If she carries it, it's not for fear for her own safety, I don't think.

I know I have to keep reminding myself that Ysengrin is the one that buried that Tic-toc...I hope Annie's doing the same. Edit: Reminding herself, not burying Tic-tocs.

Ooh, I hope the Summoning Stick sees some use in this chapter.
