I can't help but think that Kat being unable to stand the noise is going to be significant somehow.
And is it just me or does Zimmy look more not good than usual? Her skin tone is almost completely grey here.
Actually, Gamma looks a little grey too.
Maybe it's just the lighting?

Maybe the theories about Zimmy somehow stealing the life force (or whatever) from Annie are correct (or partially correct). As Zimmy gets closer, Annie's colour returns to normal while Zimmy becomes grey. Or it could just be the way Tom drew it. I guess we'll find out. |

So Annies condition is a mystery, poor kat, the "hair dec of feminism" and lack of sleep probably mean her emotions have been zinging all over the place.
I can understand why kat would not like the vital monitor to be beeping, though. Those things take annoying beep and add heartache to it.

Its subtle, but the pattern of hair in Annies face is very similar to that in Zimmys.
"Didnt hear you come in" "heh". That sorta, kinda indicates that they did not use normal means to get in. Either that or Kat is tired as hell.We didn't see the door open in the last 'proper' panel of the previous comic and there was a black shadow there and now Zimmy and Gamma are standing where there was nothing before.
I really have to give props to Tom for keeping it THIS damn mysterious if this is reality or not and just what is going on. Very good job in showing what Zimmy is doing to the world ^^
Also, Renard should be reacting to Zimmy (and likely cursing her out for starting this mess in the first place), I guess he is also either lost in the astral plane or looking for Annie.

As far as I recall the most recent scene in which we saw Kat and Zimmy together was on that roof in "Power station". Annie has probably told Kat about Zimmy's condition since that - especially after the "Spring heeled" incident, and Kat could very well have gained a more sympathetic view on her that way. |

Oh man, I don't even know what to think about this page. I am maybe leaning toward some sort of body swap, like that time that Zimmy thought she was Annie, based almost entirely on the fact that their hair in this page is the same shape - Zimmy's hair is smoother than usual with the same parting that Annie has, and they both have the same pattern of hair straggling in their faces. This is slim to base something on, I know. Last page had me wondering if maybe there was some kind of switch between Annie and Kat, being that Kat is wearing Annie's clothes, and Annie (in Kat's body) would be much likely to put on the not-a-lesbian headband without provocation. I'm wondering if they maybe confronted Jeanne, and something happened to Annie while in the ether with her. But really, I have NO idea what the blerg is going on. I am so looking forward to Wednesday's page, but knowing this comic, any little hint that Tom gives us will open up a whole new swath of questions.  |

Also that she knows that Annie isn't cardiac compromised in the first place. And that she knows what EKG machines sound like. Is Zimmy secretly... Anthony? Oh! Oh wait hang on nevermind, I think I just got it. She noticed the "ALM ONLY" alert and surmised that Kat turned it off and is trying to make weird awkward teenage demon girl small talk. Er... maybe? |
