Huh, the teacher's clothing is etheric. I wonder if that means anything special or is just a way to differentiate her from the students.

Blue, you're taking this whole lack of attention/jealousy thing a bit too far, dear.

That teacher is the epitome of professionalism and parenting. Also, I loooove the look of Blue summoning the eldritch tome in the fourth panel! I get the feeling that the Gol-Shogeg is gonna look downright pathetic compared to Annie's tricks and Blue is going to run away crying.

Wow, Blue's really going pretty far to get back at Annie. Get back at her for what? The only "wrong" I can imagine Annie committed against her was taking up Red's attention. Of course, knowing fairies that could easily be considered a completely valid excuse to summon a monster to eat and/or make them gooey.

That's exactly it, Molly. Apparently all it takes to get on Blue's bad side is... show off a little.

In her house at Gunnerkrigg, jealous Blue waits... grinning?
It would be hilarious and a nice callback if Gol-Shogeg turns out to be an old buddy of Annie similiar to what happened with Mort and Jones/Parley/Andrew.

Or at least make them look bad - i doubt they can do much to which their teacher can't put an end fast. BTW, did i tell you this avatar cracks me up every time? Seeing how Turquoise grins after that bonus page, well... Its name sounds like one of those Lovecraft monsters. Dey fairys on Gunner's krag shoulda know how to pronounce it the correct better. But care about it much less.

As far as I can tell, the fairies apparently leave the rational parts of their brains behind when going etheric.
Hence why they are so childlike and silly right now.

As silly as this all is, I must admit: I have a childlike fascination for what will happen next. It seems like Blue is trying to summon one though, and if she's trying to faze Annie, I don't think it would work. Oh no. I just know someone is going to use this to start making references to Freudian Psychology or somesuch. There's no need to get anal.

Though should have expected, really. That seems like a very likely explanation. Does this mean that any selfmade clothing becomes ethereally responsive, even if it isn't a fairy´s? It'd be kind of nifty if your clothes lit up if you made them yourself instead of bought them, wouldn't it. It also makes all kinds of sense that clothes that you make yourself becomes part of your being in the ether, it's just another part of who you are.

Yes, why exactly did Blue wake the teacher lady up? If she wants to get back at Annie by scaring her with a worm monster, why would she tell the teacher? I know it's a fairy teacher and Blue probably wouldn't have to worry about her disciplining her for being mean to another student. But still, what does she need the teacher for?

Unlike?.. ;D I just know someone is going to use this to start making references to Freudian Psychology or somesuch. Wait... I thought the anecdote about hemispheres fighting each other inside someone's brain was from that "geopolitics" thing? Does this mean that any selfmade clothing becomes ethereally responsive, even if it isn't a fairy's? Annie made adaptive shoes - she was in the Wood for what, two or three months, and it probablywasn't her primary interest? Got a picture?.. Yes, why exactly did Blue wake the teacher lady up? Probably they aren't supposed to do this without supervision. Or just wants one more witness of Annie's expected failure, whatever it's going to be.

Okay, now I have a new theory - Blue's behaviour towards Annie is not solely motivated by her jealousy of Red, it's also envy based on their similarities. Doesn't she look like Annie in these pages? It's the same cleverness and spitefulness, and the same inability to hide it. In her defence, it is probably hard to hide your emotions in the ether. (Not that the fairies are any good at it in the flesh, either!)

Okay, now I have a new theory - Blue's behaviour... <snip> Doesn't she look like Annie in these pages? <snip> This, and the contrast between panels six and seven gave me a crazy idea. Given the fairies typical inability to use or remember peoples names, perhaps Annie is the 'red who gets a name', in that the fairies start calling her Antimony, as opposed to Lady Tubsalot and such. Probably not, but it's an interesting notion.
