This is odd. Robot meets Smitty. Smitty and Reynard seem to be able to get along pretty well. (Smitty being so likeable scares me.) Reynard behaving scares me more. I'm excited to see where all this goes.
Sidenote: Back when Annie ran off to the forest a comment about the court coyote made intrigued me. "crumbling buildings" Ever looked at how Tom has drawn the court? Many buildings even ones used often have cracks running through them. Windows or doors are in styles that you don't see too often. Very intriguing details to look at.

I love Reynard's face in the last panel. I laughed upon seeing it and received a similar look from my cat... Also, I couldn't resist make an avatar of his face.

Hm, upper window bright light; lower picture window dark as can be. Wonder where that leads to? And where exactly they are anyway?

Many buildings even ones used often have cracks running through them. Yeah, especially not often visited areas such as power station. Jones treating everything on her way as plasticine doesn't improve the situation either.

Interesting. Robot's status as a fugitive is pretty clear, when Kat says "the coast's clear!" I'm not clear on that, since the humans probably don't have any way of knowing that he's "S13", and he's shown no shyness around the other robots.

I'm not clear on that, since the humans probably don't have any way of knowing that he's "S13", and he's shown no shyness around the other robots. It could also be that they're not meant to be in that room. Or that robots interacting that closely/friendly with humans is highly discouraged. The only other time we've seen a human-robot relationship like this was that administrative black lady and her robot assistant from the Spring Heeled chapter(s), and we only saw them interacting that way in private. I don't think we've ever seen Robot in public with the girls, have we? /reading too much into it -- I find it interesting that Annie is so touchy-feely with Renard, even after finding out that her mother led him on. You'd think after that, she'd not want to be so... I dunno... flirtatious? I know they're good friends after all they've been through, but still. I have a feeling (that others have already stated, I'm sure) that this story will end with Annie in the forest for good, as a creature or human. Just a hunch.

Very insightful! "Embarassed" is a typo maybe? In what way?

I know they're good friends after all they've been through, but still. After the last summer she obviously refuses to be constrained by this. Or anything else, for that matter. Or maybe the point of her approach is that being very straightforward about serious matters so there's no misunderstanding counteracts inconveniences of having every context stick like a bur. But it looks like there's no misunderstanding, but Renard is still somewhat baffled by this. ;D "Embarassed" is a typo maybe? In what way? My guess is, in the way of the previous page.

I know they're good friends after all they've been through, but still. The Renard-Annie relationship is very different to Renard-Surma, more parental. Annie wouldn't even think of the hug as being akin to leading Ren on romantically, and neither would he. Also, seeing how Annie behaved towards Jack, she has a case of the hormones something awful. Inconsistent behaviour towards friends and loved ones is to be expected.

He knows all about Annie's mo- Oh wait; he missed the important part where Surma didn't actually love him, oops. :[ We only have second-hand statements (at best) regarding what Surma felt, no actual testimony from her. And we certainly don't know what actually happened while she was with Renard. Tricking Renard may well be true, but may also have nothing to do with the other two items of information.
