I'm pretty sure yellowhair is a male. Then again, it's a bit hard to tell if those are breasts or not with that jacket. As for their ages, Kat and Annie would effectively be in middle school and parley and her friends look like they could be in sophomore or senior year Once it was pointed out, I saw her as a girl, and I'd say those are breasts. Not that breasts are what determines gender, but y'know, in this medium and all... Parley was Year 10 when she was introduced, so she'd be in Year 12 now, which is Sixth form college. A-levels and all that. /not from England

I'm also gonna chip in she might have been a fairy- her eyes seem to be (at least in their only appearance) that blank grey the fairies all have. This is why I don't look for details in webcomics. Seriously, I went back and looked and now I'm gonna have nightmares of those eyes...

One page and people are already condemning the new pair. That's amazing. Says something about how judgmental some people here are.
I think "looking down" on kids many years behind them isn't villainous or totally unwarranted. They haven't said anything nasty yet. It's just fact that teenagers can change DRASTICALLY from year t year. Much less several. For someone in their 12th year, hanging out with someone that's the equivalent of a middle schooler isn't an attractive proposition. You have so little in common with them it can turn into a chore. Parley hanging out with them is actually quite unusual.
So far it's only really been a, "I remember when I was that age!" feel from those two. Which is expected. If they start being nasty about it, feel free to condemn them.

I don't think anyone is actively condemning them so much as saying that as far as first impressions go they're coming off like jerkstores. Perhaps Parley hanging out with younger students (and dating one) is unusual, but being able to teleport doesn't seem to have phased them, a group of younger friends could've been given a much better reaction than that don't you think?

If think yellowhair is a girl, or she wouldn't have said "I do not miss those uniforms" while looking at a couple of girls?

"It's funny that I could actually kill them with a thought." I hope that is not what Annie is thinking. ---------- I think it's interesting that the blond says he does not miss those uniforms. The figure is just a bit androgynous, and since the statement can be read two ways, it doesn't help much. ---------- Interesting how the goth instantly recognizes Kat and Annie... I also think it is interesting that she has a title for the, "kiddie club". Is this through knowledge of regular classes with Mrs. Jones? We've only seen what, two or three? That couldn't be enough to let Parley's friends know about them and what happened in them, could they? I hope not, because greedy as I am, I wanted to see all of Mrs. Jone's classes. </greed is good> ---------- The successful strike back is, "This ghost hunt is something I want to do. If you want to come along, you're welcome to it." You're joking, right? Annie can do realistic visual illusions. As such, she's pretty much free to mess with their brains if she wants to. I was talking about Parley's comeback, something better than the lame and defeated, "Eh, I gotta, you know?" Regarding Annie, I don't recall her manufacturing any illusions so far or messing with anyone's mind. I've missed plenty before, please point me at a page. Even if she can, then I also hope that isn't what Annie was thinking in this page. I'm not interested in seeing Annie becoming a closet, "I could have killed/messed with that person, or that person, or that person," type of individual until eventually she does. I'll be abandoning the comic should that personality eventually come about. Yuck.

Someone referenced it already on this thread: when the kids were at that camp, Annie created an illusory fire all over the entire forest, for the sole purpose of making the adults think there was a problem and drawing them out so the other kids could take over the house I don't know if Annie can create realistic illusions for anything other than fire, though.

I thought it was said somewhere that the fire she made only didn't hurt others because she willed it so. Implying that if she didn't will it so, it would act as real fire?

Regarding Annie, I don't recall her manufacturing any illusions so far or messing with anyone's mind. I've missed plenty before, please point me at a page. Readable text. Communication via realtime texting. Also, note the rate of improvement. Even if she can, then I also hope that isn't what Annie was thinking in this page. I'm not interested in seeing Annie becoming a closet, "I could have killed/messed with that person, or that person, or that person," type of individual until eventually Er, there's no "could have" about Annie. If she wants to get even, she gets even immediately, and be rather devious about it without planning, on pure improvisation. It's even kind of beautiful (while not always a good idea, obviously). I thought it was said somewhere that the fire she made only didn't hurt others because she willed it so. Implying that if she didn't will it so, it would act as real fire? Selective interaction is interesting, but even well-controlled transparent glow alone has awesome potential. E.g. Annie could create glowing holo-panels in air with text images and full interactivity (i.e. reaction on her and Kat's "input"). And/or incinerate some junk on the floor so fast it would go away smokelessly and no one would feel heat. And she isn't obliged to represent this as fire magic or not to add misguiding special effects (such as a glowing cartoonish broom from nowhere), so... Imagine how this could look. Thus, right now she's quite capable of convincing these mostly innocent folk that they all are stuck in cyberspace or Dr. Disaster's simulator. Just for example. ;D

I thought Yellow hair was a girl when I first saw her, and I will hold that opinion until Tom proves otherwise.

Also, Is Kat wearing that pink headband to reaffirm her femininity after the whole thing with Paz, or just cos she feels like it? Because she doesn't usually wear things like that, although it could be coincidence.

Rule of fiction: It's never coincidence.
