Of all the ways Kat could have figured out that thing was real, that had to be the best way possible. No worries, i'm sure it just wants a hug ^^

I think this is the point where spinning around and running away, screaming at the top of your lung would be appropriate. ;D

I wonder how much of that Annie actually got.
Looks friendly enough, the fact that it didn't immediately attack is a good sign.
Also annie is really stealthy to have sneaked up on Kat like that.

I think it's kinda cute on this page. Hopefully it's nice and doesn't just have a slow reaction time.

It's not really that creepy, but yea it's creeping the heck out of annie and then kat realizes that it isn't annie that brought this mutant crustacean thing over. I agree though, getting ready to run might be a wise idea in case it changes its mind and decides that they are food.

Also, depending on where Annie picked up what Kat is saying, it looks alot like she is talking to the crab thing, BUT, considering she has shown to be stealthy, she had to have at least gotten the gist of it.

You know, I really thought that the previous comic was happening over the span of a few days. now seeing the bags under Annie's eye do I realize she has been hounding Kat throughout the whole day.

Aw, I think it wants to be friends! That's actually my bet. Of course, I also reckon that the court put the beastie there; his job is to keep boys out of the girl's dorms by scaring them away when they walk across the path.

Those last three frames are the dog's bits The way Tom can express dialogue without actual words is genius.

Oh, what did Kat expect to accomplish by talking to the crab? Even if she made it, how would Annie hear her? ...Or does Kat think Annie can shapeshift now?

I doubt it's hostile, otherwise the Court wouldn't let it hang out so close to the dorms. Or they'd at least put signs on the railing saying, "DO NOT PET THE GIANT ARTHROPODS." Or maybe it's their class pet! Like a hermit crab! Only bigger!

Oh, what did Kat expect to accomplish by talking to the crab? Even if she made it, how would Annie hear her? ...Or does Kat think Annie can shapeshift now? She probably assumed that Annie was just nearby as she had been every time previously. As for why she's talking directly to the beast... Well, I wouldn't want to turn my back to that thing either

After the page of last Friday, I suspected what was coming. After the last page on Monday, we all probably knew what was happening. But Tom still managed to make it all so enjoyable. The last three panels almost literally made me ROFL.

Even if all Annie heard was what was in the panel she appeared in, she heard all she needed to hear. And if the thing hasn't attacked Kat while she pets its claw, it's probably pretty harmless. I doubt the Court would let a dangerous monster sneak into its student dormitories anyway. Maybe it's the creature that will be taking the non-etherically-gifted students between dorms and classes or something.

Wow. I seriously could not have been wronger in my prediction for how this would go.
Hats off to Tom for being so creative and original that every time I see the "obvious" plotline, he does something completely different instead!
