Thanks! I figured it was from something but I never tried to look it up. I figured "Huge Bitch" would get me a lot of hits I had NOOOO interest in!

The spankies happened on the day they met. She had heard Coyote stories from her mother so she was familiar with how he was but the spankies were just a startled reaction. I wouldn't consider it a character defining action. I mean, she doesn't go around spanking folks, right?

The point is, defining Coyote as an insensitive trickster... yeah, that doesn't need much justification. Defining Ysengrin as a major grump... also seems accurate. Defining Annie as someone worthy of insulting.... I'm not seeing that. None of the characters in this story are worthy of insult.
Basil Fawlty is a good example of someone worthy of insult but still, he's fine as he is. If you change that, there's not much left to his character to make him interesting.

Awh, Coyote, stop being mean. Just let her go back to sleep. See how tired she looks?
Be a perv on your own time, man!

Its been a really long day... it must be nighttime but its hard to tell in the forest.
Was Kat supposed to meet her for lunch? She's probably pretty worried by now.
AND Annie gets to spend an entire year believing her father hates her... and after that year, she might find out its true.

Kat does seem like she's going to be the one that pulls Annie back from the brink. Just like she did when Annie fell off the bridge, and in the cover where Annie is being brought back over the bridge by Kat.
Kat really is Annie's one anchor. Though maybe a friendship with Jack could help fix that. Part of her problems come from not having any friends to share burdens with. She's already been chided by Jones for her tendency to try handling everything by herself. Even when she knows it's stupid to do so.

Or B) Annie asks Coyote if she can stay in the forest I rather doubt she wants to change into a bird. Rules are rules, even for her.

I think it would be an interesting plot twist for Annie to want to stay in the forest. Kat would be devistated ;-;

I think it would be an interesting plot twist for Annie to want to stay in the forest. Kat would be devistated ;-; I doubt it'll happen, since we know from Tom's twitter account that he's working on what the third year at Gunnerkrigg will be like; he wouldn't be likely to do that if Annie was to drop out of the Court. Unless he's planning to write her out (at least, temporarily) and promote another of the students to the lead role, that is. (Though that might be possible, in light of some of the developments in the recent chapters. Parley could get the role of freeing Jeanne's ghost, for example, and Paz could become promoted to Kat's new best friend.)

For some reason I'm not able to grasp, I really like the second panel.
