Just you wait. On Monday, he's going to sit up and look 'round, and his face? Is going to be Boxbot. ...okay, probably not, but has anybody else been wondering if there's something seriously weird about his (adult) face that explains why Tom hasn't shown it to us yet? A scar, a mark, some kind of injury that points to an unforeseen plot thread or past incident?

That's because Anthony is, in reality... *cue dramatic music* Dr. Randy Disaster!
No, really. Tom told me the other day.

I just think it's good story telling. Suspense, an' all that.
Maybe his face just won't be revealed in this flashback/dream sequence. If his face is never shown in the comic as a adult (until he's actually around), it makes his absence in Annie's life feel all the more realistic to the reader.

I've always seen it as stylistic to show that Anthony was never a significant presence or memory in Annie's life.

I thought it could be a reference to how he doesn't seem to like to show emotion. Could be both, I suppose, but given that either Antimony's personality is similar to Anthony's or she's imitating his behaviour, I don't think his presence (or lack thereof) in her life could be called insignificant.

Hmm...I think elaienar wins this one, since Anthony's face was at least partly shown in today's comic, during a moment of (apparently rare) high emotion.
Nice one, elaienar! ;D

Oh uh thanks! I have an unhealthy interest in Anthony (I like the ones that don't emote all the time). It's interesting that during said moment, although he's apparently unable to keep himself from having an expression, he's got his face half-covered in the one frame we see it. Could be nothing, but now I'm wondering if that was instinct or if he didn't want Antimony to see how upset he was (because if it was the latter I think someone should tell him it didn't work).

I really expected him to hide his face from Annie so she wouldn't see how upset he was but no, he looked straight at her, then left the room wordlessly. He might as well have said, "This is YOUR fault"

His face seems quite childish, it looks ALOT like his younger face to the point where it seems only his body grew, and not his face. Dunno if this is an artistic error or not but it looks kinda weird.
Also notice Annie looks alot like Surma to the point of "is she cloned?" maybe the soul-drainy thingy is responsible, but maybe Anthony's child-like face is more than it seems.
*edit - Actually looking back his face isn't as childish as I probably made it seem out, but still.
