I've been reading this for a while now, and is there any way we can use redstone? When some of the buildings are done, I mean.

I'm very tempted to get Minecraft after seeing this developing. Plus it looks good fun. 2 questions though:
1) Can it be played in the UK, or is it a US phenomenon?
2) a. Is it a one-off payment, or is it more of a monthly thing? b. Is it worth the money? (I'm assuming I'm going to get a big Yes to this, given I'm asking players, but I thought I'd check.)

It is in the UK, and yes, it totally is worth the money. The game isn't really "out" yet, it's in beta, but still can be bought and played. If you had bought the game in alpha like i did, you would have gotten the future updates for free, but you have to pay for them now (I'm about 90% sure about that).

You dont have to pay for updates that is incorrect.

That is, if you buy the game now, when it is in beta, you will have to pay an additional thing once it gets in final form, but that will be a one time thing, not a monthly subscribtion.
Also it is totally worth it.

Buying the game during beta will include all updates up until release, of course, and bug patches will be free.
Read it all first.

I've read it: it does say not all subsequent versions of the game may be free.

Does anyone know if people in US can use UK servers, and the other way around? I was told it won't work, or you will have a bad connection.

How does Multiplayer work anyway? Do we get to carry over tools and other items in our inventory from Single player?

Yeah, but only the admin would be able to use it, and only while the world is offline.

Yeah, but only the admin would be able to use it, and only while the world is offline. Yes, but the world can be offline whenever, and there can be multiple admins.

That's a pretty comprehensive list you're got there. It's definitely going to be a long project...
Darn it I want to change my skin! I thought the servers were migrated already, grr.

No. I want this to be more of a community project not a solitary offline project. I could just edit a map that is flat. EDIT:Sorry I didnt get your statement at first. But yah their will be multiple admins.

Ok, well if you are interested in it, watch some videos, tutorials, etc. There is a free version that can be played here: www.minecraft.net/play.jsp (click to play, press esc to release mouse) And if you want to buy the game, it is $14.95 in beta (the current version) Oh, and scroll down to read the instructions.
