Wasn't that whole blow up with Mort because she thought the blinker stone was a gift from a "boyfriend"? That's a gesture of affection. I interpreted it not as her blowing up over a gesture of affection, but her being angry that he effectively made a pass at her without her knowledge. It's the apparent underhandedness of the situation she was pissed at, not the affection. If you make a pass at someone and they don't notice.... its not the best pass in the world.... "You thought you could stake some sort of claim on me?" I think she's upset because (she thinks) he's claiming to be her boyfriend.

She was mad because he basically just gave her a wedding ring without telling her what it was or what it signified to other people. I'd be pretty pissed too if some guy marked me as "taken" without my knowledge or consent. The issue wasn't that he'd made a pass at her, rather that he hadn't made one, or at least not a very serious one, and therefore gave her no choice on whether or not she wanted to be romantically linked with him. Derp derp unnecessarily long explanations of events long past derp.

Where does "derp derp" fall along the scale relative to "bluh bluh"?
I'm just teasing you, basser.
