When I saw the picture of Jeanne I just went "Oooooh." This chapter looks like it'll be great!
Also, on the main page, the chapter links only go to Ch. 27. Shouldn't new links for the new chapters go up soon?

So hopefully the Jeanne story will be a bit more clear after this chapter. Although we'll probably get an answer to one question and three more will be raised in return. Also, is it just me or does Spirit Jeanne's hair flows in the title page just like Annie's when she's using the blinker stone?

JEANNE! YES! I HAVE WAITED SO LONG!
But why is it called "the coward heart"? I suppose it could have to do with "she died and we did nothing"... but for some inexplicable reason I think it won't. That's just my wild speculation.

The coward heart is Diego, methinks.

So Annie's visiting the ravine? Does Annie think she can defend herself from etheric swords now? Is medium training going to tie into this?
The coward heart could be Jeanie blaming herself. . .

Maybe it's Jeanne's own reluctance to move on. Such anger...

Or "coward's heart" could refer to one of the mystery "traitors" Either the one that Jeanne cared for or the one that walked out of the meeting. (or they could be the same person)

Allow me to take this moment to add to the intellectual discussion regarding this title page with the following contribution:
EEEEEEEEEEEEEEE JEANNE EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE ♥

I dunno, I believe the whole thing will be a twist, and Jeanne will be revealed as the coward. To be honest, we know very little, just tiny fragments, once we see what Deigo was like maybe he won't be such a bad guy after all. Maybe it's cos I'm a guy and guys are always the bad people

I wonder if there will be more on the events from Chapter 25...I was always wondering what was going on there between the recordings (why did Diego record those things in the first place? It seems to cast such a bad light on him, but to me it seems like he was recording on purpose).

NO WORDS can POSSIBLY express how hopeful I am for this chapter! Annie, PLEASE save Jeanne! Hi all. The story grows up. And how Antimony can communicate to the ghost of Jeanne if she(or that) attacks all phantoms and spirits (Anna also can becomes something like spirit, can't she)?

The title evokes up imagery of "The Telltale heart" for me. Beating slowly and steadily beneath the floorboards.

I love fandom blinders. I want you to think about when Annie met the ghost.
The Coward Heart is Annie.

Uh, I didn't know that raising your arms in a defensive position when a ghostly figure seems to be about to stab you with a big sword counted as cowardice.

I didn't assume the coward's heart referred to any particular person yet. It could be anyone. Heck, it could be Steadman's. I do think Annie is the best guess at the moment though.

Annie isn't the coward heart, like... some guy said, being afraid of a ghost women who appeared out of nowhere, sliced your face and held a sword to your head while alone in a unknown location with no way of climbing back up to safety and without having any way to defend or fight back...
In my honest opinion, not Annie.
My vote: Jeanne herself, simply because if it was Deigo it would be too easy, and Tom isn't lazy.

Annie looked upon her act as cowardice at the end of Chapter Sixteen.
