Hello! Long time reader first time poster. I've had a question for some time and I hope one of you can help me out. I found this error page: www.gunnerkrigg.com//comics/ and I would love to know what the tune is that plays on a loop. If anyone knows please clue me in. Thanks a million. Also nice to meet you all!

It's from the videogame ICO. It's the menu music when you save your game. The name of the song is "Heal".

Wonderful! Thank you so much. For some reason the song really touches me so I appreciate it.

The music combined with that image makes me horribly depressed for some reason.

Hahaha I've never seen the homestar one before! Oh that's fantastic. I came across GC's 404 page by accident a bit after I started reading it; its really relaxing. Sometimes I just leave it open in a tab while I browse.
Now that you point it out I totally see the cloud witch/cloud dolphin. Very cute.

I need to look up that music; I can't hear it, when I pull up the page. Also, good to meet you, as well, remedios.

judgedeadd: I know what you mean, I was surprised to find myself getting teary the first time I watched it. After a while though it started to calm me down. It's my secret relaxation device.
I actually went out and bought the game ICO today; I figure if the save screen song makes me misty the rest of the game is probably pretty fantastic too.

I'm surprised there hasn't been at least a pages worth of mass guessing of some kind of deeper meaning or conspiracy after that statement. Granted, there could be some sort of deeper meaning or whatever, but the music's just too good to give a damn.

remedios, you won't regret that purchase! It is a wonderful game. You might find this interesting too: www.gunnerkrigg.com/art/ico.jpgIt is a picture of Annie and Kat as the main characters in Ico.

Mishmash: That picture is adorable! And you're definitely right, the game so far is incredible. I've been meaning to pick up Shadow of the Colossus for some time; I realize now that ICO is the other game made by those guys!
Whosit: I haven't played more than a few hours but so far it's amazing. It has a great ethereal atmosphere that matches with the soundtrack flawlessly. Even with my small amount of play time I recommend it.

Also, SGX made a pretty cool trance remix of the song "Heal". Here is the full 9-minute long version, and here is the 6-minute edited version.

If you like that Ico picture, you should click on the Art link on the Gunnerkrigg home page, there are a bunch of other pictures there Tom drew of Annie and Kat in costumes!
Shadow of the Colossus is another fantastic game, I bet you'll love that too. Team ICO is currently making another game called The Last Guardian. No word on it's release date yet as far as I know, though!
