OK, so she's gearing up for some kind of encounter with Jeanne.

She could call it "jaunting", but I don't recommend it.

The way she looks and the timing makes it look like he is triggering her teleport, then again, she seems to be able to teleport on her own and the two of them are attuned to each other.

Woohoo, sword action! Avatars to be made: Renard's perplexed face in panel 1 and Smitty's smarm face in panel 4.

Looks like maybe they are prepping for another encounter with Jeanne?
Also, I wonder what Kat is doing? Fixing a busted motor or maybe fine tuning it? No idea if he plans on helping Parley practice as I don't know if he retains that fencing knowledge, then again that swordfight early on in S1 was scripted.

She's gearing up for Jeanne.
Either that or she's giving Annie some fencing lessons

If both Annie and Parley are armed with a sword, that might send the wrong message to Jeanne, not to mention that Parley is way more experienced than Annie is and Jeanne was certainly a master at it.

My interpretation was that he can't affect when she teleports, but he can detect it, often a few seconds before she actually does so. He might also be able to tell where she is teleporting from and to. So enough for tricks where he predicts that she's coming, but not enough to actually draw her to him.

Smitty causes improbable coincidences, it's a very flexible trick.

You know, I just realized Smitty's talent reminds me of the luck virus from Red Dwarf. dunno of that's been mentioned before.

Now does she like it because it is Smitty who does it, which I can certainly understand, or does she like it because it is suspiciously close to BAMF?
It will be the greatest thing ever when Parley starts using her ability in her swordfighting instead of just eating Smitty's face. Bam indeed.

Two big smiles lead off today's presentation. Nice to see.
"Bab?" A pet name for Andrew? Oh baby! They are just too cute. Especially since Parley had to swing that sword carefully in order to obtain that headlock.
Kat is off holding Robot's arm pretty possessively in panel 3. I wonder if there is an issue with it. In panel 2, Robot does appear to be holding up both arms in the panel just before, and Kat has her chin on one fist.

Oh, gods, I just know that "I'm the only guy that can go..." panel is going to be "reinterpreted" in a very dirty way by some people.
Mostly because my brother just did over my shoulder.
EDIT: And damn, now his smug expression in said panel looks so wrong.

She could call it "jaunting", but I don't recommend it. Jaunting as in a few seconds feels like an eternity? "its an eternity in there!" I really hope Jeanne has gotten as rusty as much as her looks have degraded. Otherwise Smitty just has to do something endearing and Parley is fillet o'george.

Robo-parkour can cause some damage, you know?

I would say that Robot, under the pretense of needing his joints inspected, just wanted to get Kat to hold his hand. But that's just me.

As confirmed by Tom, Smitty has no control or even sense of Parley's teleportation, he is simply randomly guessing. And he simply just happens to be right.
I'm thinking maybe Robot will be helping with some sort of training session here? Also, no indication that Jeanne will even be involved... though I'm thinking this all has at least something to do with her, if we're not actually seeing her. I wonder why Kat's along for the ride? Any possible reason other than she's Annie's best friend, or does anyone think she'll be playing some role herself?

I think he's consulting with Kat over maintenance issues, anyway; other than their attention to his hands I see no other sign of problems, although Robot's right hand looks disproportionally large in the third panel.

Robot's there to learn how to swordfight, obviously; Kat is helping him figure out which is his dominant hand. Renard is there to help him with insults. "You fight like a robotic milking device." "How appropriate, you fight like a laser cow."

I would say that Robot, under the pretense of needing his joints inspected, just wanted to get Kat to hold his hand. There were some reasons for that instruction, after all. Though S13 may revere her too much to try this. ;D Renard is there to help him with insults. "You fight like a robotic milking device." "How appropriate, you fight like a laser cow." Truly... He jumped ALL THE WAY DOWN A GIANT BUILDING and was totally fine. It's magical spare parts. Even if it can be done once, there's still a matter of service life. Also, not quite jumped all the way ( panel 4).
