won't she still get her hand cut off? No, the band evaporated after she got back. Still, Coyote said that the knife will cut through the earth itself and cut through the hardest metals like it was air. Heck, it even needs a special scabbard to keep it from cutting anything when not in use. It actually reminds me of the 'subtle knife' from the golden compass trilogy. Probably about the only thing coyotes tooth doesn't cut through is the fabric of space-time and open doorways to other universes.

I bet Annie wants to train with the Coyote Tooth! I love this idea! Probably about the only thing coyotes tooth doesn't cut through is the fabric of space-time and open doorways to other universes. Coyote would totally put that feature in as a joke.

Heh, it'd probably lead to a swamp or the back of a candy store or something. Also, I thought the coyote was only going to take her hand if she told anyone how she got the tooth?

Coyote: I see you don't have the tooth I gave you. Antimony: no, I left it in my room. Coyote: hmm good, good. Show me your right hand. If you tell anyone in the forest about the tooth even ysengrin this bind will snip off your hand. You'll notice he never specifies anything but about the tooth, which could mean that the tooth exists, that he gave it to her, or what it can do. However the bind disappeared when she returned to the court (and he specified anyone in the forest) so its a moot point.

A swamp or a candy store... or to the lair of a giant deadly eater of worlds. All depends on his mood that day, I guess ;D

Antimony looks weird in the first panel.

There's been something weird about the art generally in this chapter. Is Tom using a different kind of pen or something?

Can we not make broad sweeping statements about the art without qualifying it with concrete examples? "Antimony/the art in general looks weird" is not helpful to Tom, who, as we all know, takes his artwork very seriously and always fixes wonky things when people specifically point them out.

I think everything I've seen looks as awesome as always... but if you look at the comic as a whole it's one of the greatest examples of art evolution i've seen, such that looking at art from the first 5 chapters actually looks almost bad after getting used to the more recent look. (I like to fanonize that in my mind as just the natural progression of aging in the characters, though I guess I know Year 7 Annie would be drawn differently now) So perhaps the "weird" looking art some people perceive is just the continuation of that? Obviously the art is continuously changing (in my opinion for the better), so it's gonna be noticeable for some people who are quite familiar with the artist's work. As for "fixing wonky things" I think that's only for when there's a real mistake made; general shifts in the art itself is just what it is, and certainly nothing to be fixed. Though nothing wrong with noticing it either.

I think Baf just meant "weird" as in there being something slightly different about the art that he couldn't put his finger on. I'm getting the same impression. I think it's the sudden lighting change from the last chapter happening almost entirely at night.
