Aw, I like em. And they must be pretty good friends to be so physical with Parley, they're just brutally honest. And if Parley is cool with them, they must be cool folks.

"Physical" does not equal "good" friend. Of cource i won't be impartial since im speaking from experience. EDIT - Wow, that sounded more sad than i thought it would, all i meant was that Parley doesn't seem that secure with them and all.

Surely they must have noticed Parley's inability to keep her hands off Smitty from back before?

I'm loving that crazy look Blue is giving Parley as she's grabbing her cheeks, hahaha.

Surely they must have noticed Parley's inability to keep her hands off Smitty from back before? To be fair, they weren't around during the medium training.

Hahaha.
I love these girls now. They totally know how to screw with Parley.

So much for Parley being brave and admitting her love for Smitty, bet Jeanne would have something to say about that.
Love Parley's friends, especially Blue, hope to see more of her in the future.
Now I want to know why they're meeting! Plot me up, Tom.

Aww, the cool kids are gone now.
Purple's got this sort of deranged look in her eyes (I guess 'cuz her pupils are in the exact center of her irises). No worse off for it, it just gives her face an intensity I didn't expect. Thumbs up, Tom.

The thing with Jeanne was more about Parley not wanting to admit the love to HERSELF. Not to others. That's what got Jeanne so pissed. Parley was so scared she couldn't even admit to herself she loved Smits.
Not telling her friends? Well maybe she didn't because she knew.. exactly the current comic would happen.

So, THAT's were Parley got her definition of personal space from. Looks like a collective problem.

I instinctively did that "smushyface" thing to myself that Purple was doing to Parley when I saw that panel.

I was right, this chapter is going to be about making faces; and with Blue here, we definitively have a new challenger!

Thumbs up, Tom. They could be cosmetic contact lenses. Judging from her hair and clothing, it seems like something she'd do.

I said it before and I'll say it again, what happened to "nobody calls me a coward," Parley?
Also, I swear, I taught a girl uncannily like Blue/Purple in behavior and expressions the last two school years. Minus the color theme and hair dyeing, though.

Parley the cradle robber... Hm, don't Standard Issue Real Humans (tm) have their pupils smack in the exact center of their irises too? Just saying ^^

So much for Parley being brave and admitting her love for Smitty, bet Jeanne would have something to say about that. She can't say much in that area... I shall duly rephrase... I bet Jeanne would have something to communicate etherically through the medium of images and handsome green men... about that And at Stately Buff-Cookie, I'm still siding with the idea that Parley should be able to admit her love to those around her as well. She's obviously worried about what her friends will think of her dating someone a year younger and good ol' George should fear nothing That's just my two pennies for the pile.

I was thinking more about her relationship with the green man (who has fantastic physique) being a secret from most people.

George is still being a jerk!
I can't bring myself to like blue and blonde. Friends you can't trust to tell the truth aren't friends, no matter how good their character design. My respect for Parley has taken a large blow too.

So, it's cleared: Parley didn't tell them... though on the other hand, she did show. Also, why do I have the feeling that, despite some negative first impressions, those characters are going to get some fan following of their own eventually? If they display much wit and wisecracking, they probably will. Those tendencies are enough to make most of the readers forgive any character for bad behavior, as long as they do it in a comedic way. ...aaand it happened. Gunnerkrigg Cookies for mikeymikemikey! So, THAT's were Parley got her definition of personal space from. Looks like a collective problem. The question is, did they pick it from her or vice versa? My bet is on... er... Dark Slate Purple pseudo-fairy: she looks like the type whose approach to life is "ignore formalities you don't like until they eventually sigh and go away, then forget they were here at all". Friends you can't trust to tell the truth aren't friends, no matter how good their character design. They're clowns, but here we see "friendly" level of abuse on both sides. As in "a stranger would be chased with a rusty axe for saying the same". ;D

Surely they must have noticed Parley's inability to keep her hands off Smitty from back before? Parley, I think, may have only seen, and hung off of, Andrew during the medium-training or when she specifically went to see him, which may well not have been in the company of her putative friends Purple and Blond, given Parley's current behavior. Purple still knew about the "kiddie club" of Annie and Kat somehow. So...i'm not the only one that thought blondie was a guy, right? There was some discussion of the gender possibilities regarding Blond in last strip's topic. In my initial read-through, I thought Blond was male. On later reads, I wasn't so sure because of the uniform-related comments.

According to Formspring, their names are Jan and Cookie Monster? Though which is which is unspecified, I would think Blue would be Cookie Monster, I find it hard to imagine blondie would go for that name. And yeah CM's totally growing on me already... too bad they're gone now. I'm less warm about Jan though. Acting all cool, psh. Parley totally has some 'splainin to do about this reaction though! I suppose at least being able to admit it to herself is an improvement, but come on, I thought Jeanne affected her more than that. Woah hey totally random coincidence I'm sure, but that makes three blonde characters now who all have J names
