I suspect his secret will only matter to Coyote and mean nothing to Annie.

The great secret is that in order to stay in the peak of health Coyote requires the occasional human sacrifice, preferably a virgin adolescent girl.

The secret is the frighteningly large collection of Ranma 1/2 fanfiction that Coyote has authored.
Or...
"My great secret is... I'm actually kind of a jerk."

Coyote is actually a girl? And pregnant. And it's Annie's.

It could be a number of things: 1) Coyote tells Annie the identity and the full story behind the man who was possessed and killed by Reynardine (My personal favorite theory since that arc has not been mentioned in a while and Coyote seems interested in getting Reynard back. Possibly he will tell the story in a negative light so as to try to induce Annie to sending him back) Not a fan of this theory. If anything, that would be Reynardine's secret, wouldn't it? I mean, we don't know Coyote all that well, but I don't think he's the type to break his cousin's confidence. Maybe, but I think that would fall to the same criticism leveled against the first theory - that it's not really Coyote's secret. Also, I don't think it's all that realistic for Annie to tell the story of her hospitalization to Coyote. After all, has she said anything substantive about the Court to the creatures of the forest so far? The only time we've even seen her mention life at the court to people of the forest was when she was talking with Red and Blue while she was stranded at the side of the Annan Waters. I think that's unlikely as well, for the same reason. Annie ostensibly knows who Jones is. As far as we know, her questions have been answered in that regard. Now, that's certainly a possibility, especially the part about why he created the Annan Waters. That's never really been explained, and even more mysterious is the reason that it was the Court that fortified the Annan Waters when it was the Forest that created them. That could be a possibility, but I like #4 more. Actually, there is another possibility entirely. This could just be a silly chapter, in the vein of "Red gets a name", except starring Coyote, instead of Red. I did.

Well, allegedly, we'll see the great secret on Friday's page. So any last minute predictions, anyone?
I for one now think it'll be something eminently silly, like finding out why Coyote's nose has a mind of its own.

I remember that story. The part when Coyote molded himself some functional lady-parts to trick his husband-to-be was particularly disturbing. Are you kidding? That's my favorite Coyote story!

I remember that story. The part when Coyote molded himself some functional lady-parts to trick his husband-to-be was particularly disturbing. Are you kidding? That's my favorite Coyote story! I thought the beginning where he was ripping bits from various animals to make specific parts was overly-detailed for my tastes. I assume that those who are expert on killing/cleaning those particular animals can glean some sort of insight from the story, but I am not one of those people. Also the ending was anti-climactic and you never find out what happened with that particular set of kids. Did Coyote ditch them? Eat them? Fire them over the horizon with his bow? Man, those natives must have been smoking some POWERFUL mushrooms when they came up with that particular legend. I think it sounds like an ancient Hallmark card. It sounds to me like a generic story you can comfort your guy-friend with if his old lady has just run off with his kids (and probably all his stuff) and disappeared without a trace. "Sure, your wife dumped you but she was probably just Coyote. And the kids were probably abominations anyway. No use beating yourself up about it. Have another swig of fermented berry juice." [I know this story is online somewhere; I will dig it up later and post a link. This one is close but the one I am thinking of didn't have anyone else involved in the con, and there are only two "ingredients" instead of three.]

ANNIE: I promise! C: It is such a Great Secret! The power of knowing could crush your mind! Are you sure you want to know it? A: Yes! C: Ysengrin might be mad at me for telling you. A: I'm sure he won't mind. C: You reaaaaaaaaally want to know my Great Secret? My amazingly secret Great Secret? A: YES! C: Will you promise to tell me a story if I tell you the Great Secret! A, hopping up and down with excitement: TWO stories! C: Oh,OK. My great secret is that.... ... A: Go on! C: My favourite colour is blue. Wait no, Yell- Aaaaa~hahahaha~

Hello, GC forumites. It's been a while since I visited. ^^; I think Coyote is going to reveal that he was Jeanne's forest lover and that their whole affair was intended to generate a conflict. (I can't find the page where Coyote shapeshifted into a forest dweller)

(I can't find the page where Coyote shapeshifted into a forest dweller) I was reviewing the chapter about Jeanne's past, and I was under the impression that the green dude she was hooked up with was not Coyote. I think there was a Word of Tom to that effect, but I could be mistaken. The alternative is that all the green guys could be Coyote, even the one Annie was smitten with... I don't know why that creeps me out, but it does.

I wonder who else he has told this to?
And how many of the Forest creatures know?

Man, those natives must have been smoking some POWERFUL mushrooms when they came up with that particular legend. Who knows, but it's hilarious! Especially when the rotted bits finally fall off at the worst possible time. You'd think he'd have a better way to pretend to be a woman!
