That little bastard.
P.S.: I had to wait almost 5 minutes before someone made this thread! You guys are slacking.
P.P.S.: Tradition is that the title of the thread be a line of dialogue (usually the most important line of dialogue) from the page. Not that you have to hold with that tradition, but anyway.

Okay now, are there still any questions whether Jack is just a "disturbed kid" or a full-blown maniac bad guy?
Seriously, boy, you have no idea what kind of trouble you are in now!

Did he just...free Reynardine? From the rag doll body and the bidding symbols? Something isn't right here. Smells like Coyotte to me.

That little bastard. P.S.: I had to wait almost 5 minutes before someone made this thread! You guys are slacking. Yeah, I was like, hrm, seems quiet tonight, guess I'll make the thread. Seriously, I doubt a single one of us saw that coming. Questions are raised. Namely: Is Reynardine being captured, if so into what vessel? Is this a new plot twist, wherein Annie's doll becomes a doll once more? What sick and twisted things does Jack have in for our poor unassuming fox? When the hell is that spider going to make it's proper debut? What is that white second symbol just to the left of Antimony's?

If Rey has indeed been loosed from the toy, and something prevents him from returning to it, Rey will have to take a new body quickly. I seriously doubt he'll take Annie.
Jack, you've no one to blame but yourself for your impending death.

I guessed this would happen, actually, so it didn't surprise me (so half of my theory was confirmed - the other half was that Jack would attempt to do something to Annie's ethereal self as well). I just wanted to point out something to you guys, a thing that I noticed since the Jeanne-Diego story (about Diego condemning her to death). You guys at first were supportive of Diego, and then abruptly switched to calling him a "heartless son of gun." Likewise, readers seemed to be charmed by Jack's charisma - and I'll bet my arm and leg that Jack knows he's charming. So what I'm saying? Try to remember the person's character - Diego was a coward who loved Jeanne; he wasn't exactly a "heartless son of gun," and Jack is a charming guy who uses charm to get what he wants. He's not to be trusted. That being said, I can't wait to see what happens next.

What is that white second symbol just to the left of Antimony's? Mercury, aka Reynardine's symbol.

Did he just...free Reynardine? From the rag doll body and the bidding symbols? I'm actually not sure. In chapter three Eglamore implies that they knew a way to extract Reynardine from a body, but that the process would kill the body (just the way it is with Coyote's imperfect gift, however this wouldn't be an issue with an inanimat eobject like a doll). He also implies that Reynardine would die if there was no body availible to jump into. The comic doesn't really tell what exactly happened. It might also be that Rey is only being "stunned" and forced back into doll form (so that he won't be there to protect Annie from whatever plan Jack has with Annie next).

Well, I was right that they weren't explosives.
I have to question of why he didn't just do that in the first place if this is what he was planning all along, though. I imagine if he did this intentionally, he's probably aiming to get some answers out of Annie about Zimmy, without Reynardine getting in the way.
Also, I think Jack is already 'occupied', so to speak, and that Rey wouldn't really want that spider as a roommate.

He used the same symbol that they were using to subdue Rey before (the eye with the cross through it that was plastered all over the area they were containing him); he probably found out how they were able to keep Rey in check when he was getting information about them. Though this begs the question, now that Rey can't protect Annie, what is Jack going to do to her?

Uhhhh, this cannot be good. The last time an event of this magnitude happened was, I dunno, 660 comics ago?

I have to question of why he didn't just do that in the first place if this is what he was planning all along, though. One possibility is that they only work after the power station is running. Another is that he needed to trick Annie into opening the RFID lock (perhaps he knew it was reinforced and he wouldn't be able to smash it, so he only said he was going to smash it to get her to open it). If his main goal was to do that to Rey, he could have chosen any number of other, more remote and less monitored, locations around the Court to have Annie and Rey meet him. The fact that it took place at the Power Station leads me to believe that it had to happen there specifically.

Man, poor Jack, haters gonna hate. Whatever Jack's about to do, I endorse it wholeheartedly. You go Jackie! Show 'em who's boss with yer green turtleneck and yer band-aid fingers!

Hmm... Did she bring the tooth? That is the question. Even if Annie's not handy with the blade, I suspect the intimidation factor alone would convince Jack to back off, given his past behavior.

I was thinking more like a tooth to the face, and taste... tooth. Yes that's a great idea, let's kill the only person who might possibly be able to undo this trap when the authorities are bare minutes away, with a weapon of such unimaginable power that it could split the very earth. No actually that's a terrible idea.

Reynardine is free! Now we know why Jack wanted Annie to bring the wolf along. Well, well.
Will Ren nip over to the forest to get his old body? Will Jack's device draw the body to him? Who cares? He's free!
Hooray for Jack! He alone saw that Renard was innocent and determined to help him. I forgive him for smashing the robot. (Anyway, if he had read about Kat on the school's computers he knew they could be reassembled and wasn't actually killing it, just keeping it quiet for a bit.)
Maybe by next week we'll have the Reynard attempting to possess Annie question answered.

Maybe Annie will use the device from Eglamore (the stick-like thing?) to call for help. After all, she was telling Jack that she was going to "get him some help", and she's probably so freaked out at present that she won't mind calling an adult.
