I'm fairly certain that I've dreamed of GC or at least some of the characters, but my dreams are always extremely twisted up, and as a result I am rarely able to recall them.

Oh, so you know exactly what I mean about all the blasted gerards then. "Jack can't work behind the bar! He has no relevant work experience" This is the best dream quote ever. No, you're mistaken. Ysengrin is cursed to be a ghost until someone hugs him, and Ysengrin is upset because that's physically impossible, him being a ghost and all. Annie, being etherically gifted, can touch etheric things so she tackle-hugs him from behind This is the best dream quote ever.

I had a silly dream. It involved computers (as, apparently, a lot of my dreams.)
Basically, Tom, in an effort to show us Zimmy's backstory, released a "game" of sorts. It was a first-person perspective exploration game, where you could explore a school - not GKC, but some ordinary school in a city - and if you entered the janitor's closet (which was oddly spacey), you'd find Zimmy. No, make that two Zimmys! One was sitting under the wall and rocking back and forth, while another was standing nearby with a ditzy smile. You could talk to the latter, but after exchanging a couple of lines you'd suddenly be booted to a DOS screen which told you to partition your disks (?!) If you talked to the former, however, a message would appear: "Zimmy Trojan Horse v0.9" or something. And indeed your computer would get infected: random things happened (such as programs suddenly closing or opening themselves), and occasionally some weird thing that looked like a distorted Zimmy's head would zoom across the screen. In last moments of this dream, I scrambled to delete this trojan before my father would find out what I got into his computer.

IDEA:The game starts with you as a student and the boy who sits next to you Whispers the following: "A girl wants to meet you in the janitor's closet at 4:00."

I dreamed that not-quite-Reynardine delivered a little monologue about not-quite-Coyote and what they used to do when they still lived back west (which apparently this Reynardine did). I then woke up, went back to sleep and dreamed that this monologue had in fact been delivered by Tom in the forum using a sockpuppet account, and that I posted a summary of what new information this brought us about the Gunnerverse, the only items of which I can recall is that Coyote had on occasion assumed a black wolf form and that an important task had been to suppress earthquakes started by a mysterious party to annoy the humans of the region. My dreams are not guaranteed to make a lot of sense.

I've had three dreams involving GKC recently.
The first was on Sunday night, when I dreamed about what Monday's page would be. In my dream, it was full of AnniexKat stuff; I'm such a fangirl. ^.^"
On Monday night I had a dream that involved Gamma and Zimmy who were climbing along some thin railway out to a small lighthouse in order to take shelter there, and then Gir and Zim (from Invader Zim) showed up. So it was like "Zim meets Zimmy." ;D
And then last night...well, I saw Black Swan during the day, so my dream was pretty much based off of that, but with Kat an Annie. Kat was the black swan and Annie was the white swan, and the rest was pretty much just disturbing.

I think I had a GKC dream the other night, but I can't really remember much. Except that something bad happened to Kat. (No, I don't think Boxbot was involved.)

I've dreamed about GC three times. The first, I met Annie, and she was about my age (mid-twenties) for some reason, and we were running away from something (don't remember what).
The second two times, I dreamed about reading the latest page of the comic. These pages featured plot twists like Annie getting up on a stage at some meeting and denouncing the entire Court for something, and the revelation that the Court was constructed over the dead body of a god named Gunnerkrigg.

Somewhat weird dream. A younger Annie (but with a ponytail) would sneak out at night to fight a battle against her enemy, a giant spider. This would involve acquiring and ingesting various protective substances (like a berry that protected against catching on fire), finding a champion, and having that champion attack the spider. In my dream the champion was a bull which initially closely defeated the spider; however, the spider regenerated and finished the bull off. There was a rhyme to stop the spider's regenerative ability (along the lines of the Spider-Man theme song) but Annie hadn't got it to work yet.

A small guest appearance of GC related stuff in my dreams tonight: It was something about the house structure. Chester had been replaced by the terms "Omnious" (I know it's not a real word, but in my dream it meant something like "related to everything") and "Sentient", so the full list was as follows: - Queslett - Thornhill - Omnious - Sentient - Foley Yeah, it doesn't make much sense to me either

Last night I dreamed that Tom released the rest of the story of Gunnerkrigg Court in a single volume, and I got to read it, and it was awesome. But at some point, the dream switched and I was actually *in* the story. I think I was playing the role of Annie--at any rate, I seemed to be the main character--and I had to stop this shadowy group of conspirators who kept on leading members of the Court (and, for some reason, a bunch of Pikmin...) into the lake at the power station. They were convinced that they were doing good, because walking into the etheric lake released souls from people's bodies and allowed the souls to be free, but unfortunately this also killed the person whose soul was freed. So, I was running around trying to find these conspirators and stop them, and I ended up at DisneyWorld, but it was closed, but that was OK because no, actually I was at the Olympics and watching a downhill skiing event, and... yeah, I think my dream sort of ran away with itself at that point. A shame, because I never did find out how Gunnerkrigg Court ended.

I dreamed recently that there was a Gunnerkrigg Court videogame. But it wasn't a recent game--it was a platformer for the Gameboy Advance. The folks who made the game never talked with Tom apparently--they loosely adapted the first 12 chapters or so, then the plot spun off in a different direction. At the end of the game, the Robots rebelled against the Court and Annie had to fight them.

I had a dream that involved trains, FF IX and Gunnerkrigg Court. There was a list of names for some steam driven trains, all named Queen Alexander, King ..... , King...... , and last of all Queen Annie. Which I(in my dream) connected it to our Annie. Then someone in the dream stated that the timeline of GC starts around WWII -1939. Sorry I can't remember anything else in great detail.

Once I had a dream that Kat, Annie and Jack were helping me clean up Tom's garden so he could get a tax break. Then Tom came and was pretty happy. It was very strange.

I'll pick... c. creating your own character, and throwing it into the mix to see what happens. I'd be rather disturbed if I found out that my subconscious was a fanfic writer. Anyways, the one time I had a dream of the court was me chasing Shadow2, and then it got all muddled with a girl named Hldebach and a flying glop of mud. Stop looking at me like that.

Like all my GC dreams my last one was not (really) in-comic. It started with a transition from a different dream segment into a sort of live streaming of Tom doing a panoramic painting with lots of leaves and other greenery. What I remember about it was that there were two peacocks, one of them walking beside Annie who was turning her back as if walking away at the end of the comic. And then it was finished and Tom and the fans/forumites (of which only Mezzaphor had an identity besides myself; apologies to all you faceless nobodies) were looking at it and also sort of being inside it, as it was completely wrapped around and gaining depth and reality. I said that all the places and events of the last few chapters were coming alive around us, which was probably an exaggeration unless those chapters were all set in a twilight farm-orchard-garden kind of environment, but those surroundings were coming alive, and we were all kind of huddling around in tall grass and slowly fanning out and being in awe, and Tom seemed pleased with his work. It was nice.

I've never had a GC dream, but I have had dreams where the police are arresting me for things I've done in other dreams.
It's very confusing.

An interesting thread to rise from the grave! Unfortunately for me I don't really have dreams. Yes, I know that everyone technically dream, but I'm one of those people that never remembers them, so it's like I never have them to begin with. Luckily, my creative little brain compensates for this with random stories while I'm half-awake after sleeping. The night that I finished catching up in GC (which was right before the last chapter started), I started to think about the GC characters in a slightly different situation (I would be more specific, but I don't remember much about it). This is something I tend to do a lot - placing "myself" or my own characters into other stories, or creating different stories or events strictly within that universe. I've done it since I was around 8, when I place myself into the Harry Potter series, which would eventually lead to my own completely different story coming out of that (and I mean completely different - it's not even in the same ballpark). Now when it came to doing that with GC, nothing really came of it until the next morning when my brain decided to revisit the idea while throwing a lot of wrenches into it, including old ideas that have been lying around in my brain unused for years. Once I was more awake, I started to realize the potential of the ideas, and started separating the new/old/shared ideas from the GC stuff, and ending up with my most rapidly expanding, complex story with the best characters I've ever made (with only a few passing ties left to the comic that started it). I've continued to expand & refine this new story, am currently planning much of the story out, and hope to start working on improving my art skills so I can start this new webcomic soon(ish). So, while I didn't really have a GC dream (or a real dream, for that matter), GC & my active, half-awake brain managed to come together to start something amazing - the best story & characters I've ever made! So thanks to Tom for that (and this equally awesome comic).

I just had the longest, craziest dream about Gunnerkrigg. Apparently, something bad was happening with Rey. He had to stop it somehow, but it was also some kind of secret. Then he starts instigating Annie to colect these items - rocks, crystals, seeds - that were special for some reason. He needed Annie to perform some kind of ritual, to prevent whatever was going to happen with him. Simultaneously, the robots began to act strangely and upgrade themselves. Upgrades full of chainsaws and sharp things. It was as if they were preparing for a war or something. And they were: against humans. Annie, Kat and Rey start running, until they find out the one behind all that crazy stuff was another student with hacking skills similar to those of Jack. The three of then manage to get to the "central computer", where they can fix everything, but then a big fight starts. Ethereal Annie could possess objects, Kat had several robotic implants, it was really crazy. In the end, after doing something with Rey, they threw him against the enemy and Rey destroyed everything, but almost died in the process. Still not thinking very well, Rey reveals he is not who he claimed to be, and says a name. "Celestial something", I think. That's when my father shows up and asks me what I was watching, and I realize this GC update was actually a video. Thrilled, I watch Rey and Annie walking through the ruins of a wrecked GC while I try to explain to my father what Rey is. Because of this I missed a lot of what happened, but at some point Annie permits Rey to take another body. He starts possessing many animals as his personality change. At this point I decide I needed to return the video in order to understand what was going on. Then I see that, before the video, there was indeed a page to be read. And in this page we discover everything in the video is being told by a future Annie. A naked Annie. And the one hearing it is her lover. And that is Coyote. The shock was so big, I woke up immediatly and rushed here to write everything before I forget it. PS: Not used to write so much in english, so please forgive my grammar.

A young woman who was Kat's daughter and looking fairly much like her had hired some adventurer/investigator to help her explore a ruined urban landscape. When they came across a set of wings made of black synthetic fabric she strapped them on using bone stumps protruding from her wrists and flew off. Later Tom made a short appearance to apologize for the behaviour of a couple of trailer trucks in a parking lot. It all made slightly more sense in the dream.

... It all made slightly more sense in the dream. Ah, dreams. They usually are. But sometimes, they just don't. Slightly off-topic, but i once dreamt of jumping onto my grandfather yelling at him why this is happening. And by this, I mean the full moon exploding into fireworks and then reverting back to normal the next time i glanced back. I also carried on afterwards with doing whatever in the dream sequence like I didn't jumped on my grandfather and yelling at him. My dreams are mostly like that. Don't know the chances of dreaming Gunnerkrigg, though.

From dark places where the forgotten dwell, I summon thee! Raise! Raise and once again be among the living!
Cough, so... I dreamed Paz's parents had died in one of Loup's attacks, and because of this things kinda fell apart between her and Kat. It was oddly disheartening.

Holy crap, this thread is amazing.
People always talk about how boring it is to listen to other people's dreams, but I guess reading about them can actually be super interesting in the right setting.
