This is exactly the sort of situation where thread necro might be perfectly reasonable.
(Note I said "might be" not "is".)
The thread is in reference to a very specific thing. There won't be a new instance or replication of that thing. What better place to discuss that thing? In what way would duplicate threads be better than thread necro?
