Sweeeeeet.
Imminent danger is always good.
Also; totally taking Tom up on that Commission thing, hopefully before he's forced to stop accepting them, which probably won't take long.

Kat seems to have gotten over any previous hostilities towards Winsbury. Or maybe she just wants to help him. Does Kat have any bad history with Winsbury other than the one time a year ago that he took her ball?

Even if it wasn't for the hair, I'd put her down as a fae just from the personality similarities with red. The hilarious similarities. You mean how she's a total bi-[EPITHET REDACTED]?

But she apparently haven't anything against Janet.

While Winsbury sure often acts like a jerk, I think he's more like the obligatory class clown than the (just as obligatory) class bully. That is, he sure may annoy people, but he isn't really hurtful/hostile, or even violent.

IMO... welcome to the beginning of whatever Tom was worried that people would have a problem with. IMO. I always assumed that he thought the issue would be with Kat's new hair...it certainly drew some complaints.

What if Marcia's responsible for it? Secretly she's a complete nutjob who kidnaps and murders children and hides their bodies in the basement, all the while blaming it on some ghost. She's going to kill everyone!

well, that would certainly be an unseen end to the comic...

I am agreeing more and more with the posters who believe that this is a set up by the teachers. It just seems so contrived somehow, and I get the feeling Marcia is acting. Also, where is Annie? I would expect her to be right next to Kat, but we haven't seen here since she warned Kat to stay away from Jack. EDIT: Of course, the one time I don't preview my post is the time I misformat my URL. Fixed

Maybe there just wasn't room to draw her without taking room away from characters more immediately important to these scenes (Marcia, Janet, Winsbury, etc.). And this might be another of those chapters that isn't about her (like "Dobranoc, Gamma", "A Week for Kat", "Red Returns", etc.) but about the supporting cast.

Maybe Annie's doing something exciting, like confronting Jack.

I assumed Annie is with Kat, but we just don't see her because she is not saying anything. In panel 5 we see there are six kids outside the house, but we only see Kat and William up close. Annie could easily be one of the other four.

Could you explain the reference to everyone who hasn't read "V for Vendetta" (such as me)?

Personally I see myself as more of a 'cultured slacker' so to speak. Could you explain the reference to everyone who hasn't read "V for Vendetta" (such as me)? 'This Vicious Cabaret' was the second book of the three, in which we read about the supporting characters, rather than V himself. I was comparing those other chapters to this, in that we get to know the other characters better, rather than just Annie. As for what I was humming, V plays a song in the prologue that sets up the story, and I thought of that as I read.

You can hear the song here, incidentally.
