I'll bet Annie is going to be tempted to recall her blinker stone if the cows keep putting out the real fires...

You're uncharacteristically late, yin. The comic was up for like two minutes already.
Two minutes before you posted, not me. It took me three minutes to write this post.

Yeah, I don't know why though.

I noticed the same glow in other tents though. I suspect flashlights (or what the Brits call torches).

Yeah, I noticed too. Post deleted anyway.
Also, the cows are my new favorite robots. Tom is just so good at writing them.

Blinker stone to the rescue!

I wouldn't risk the blinker stone to laser cows either; they might try to destroy it.

The laser cows are officially my favorite characters now. All the other robots in the court are either stupid or terrible. But the cows are awesome.

So were the cows always supposed to talk like HK-47, or do they only do it for comedic emphasis?

You can't put out a fire with lasers!

Sure you can. Just turn the piece of wood currently burning into ashes -- with nothing more to burn, no more fire.

Look, there is no problem that you can't solve with lasers.

Just turn the piece of wood currently burning into ashes -- with nothing more to burn, no more fire. … and in the process releasing all the energy in one instant – now that would be some fire! But then, these aren’t red laser beams making “zot” but blue beams of whatever making “blaz”.

This is one of the funniest strips Tom has done. The cows are cracking me up. Blue lasers = anti-lasers - they must somehow be decreasing the energy level of what they hit. Especially if they say "Blaz".

Note the glow from the girls tent my guess is that is the blinker stone, already in effect

Note the glow from the girls tent my guess is that is the blinker stone, already in effect I already addressed this earlier in the thread, but that glow seems to be coming from several tents, not just Kat's. Additionally, I think that Annie's choice about whether to recall her blinker stone and therefore cut off communication with Reynardine is a little more important than to just have it happen off-panel where we can't even see it. IMO.

Given that Kat can build an anti-gravity generator in a casual way, I don't think that knocking out a portable heat/light source before a camping trip would tax her skills too much.

I guess blue lasers are colder than red lasers. Who knew? Wikipedia will aid us! I have found, rather amusingly, a List of Light Sources. Which of them could possibly be lighting the tents?! Let the debate begin! Personally my money's on 'electric torches', as they are indeed known in Britain, or electric lamps.

I mistook Kat for Zimmy in the first panel. I wonder if Jack will too?

I looked at that list and my eye immediately fell to "quasar". Clearly that HAS to be the answer: Kat has created a miniature quasar in a Mason jar.

Yeah, she probably MacGyver-ed up a nuclear fusion reactor with two stick and a bendy straw or something like that. ;D
