I killed myself laughing at the "Get your hands off me." because I like the idea of a disgruntled laser cow!
Then during my driving lesson, when I really should have been thinking about driving, I thought about how it was Eglamore the cow was talking to and the possibility that it wasn't that the cow didn't want to be touched, he just didn't want to be touched by Sir Young's successor.
And I realised that was probably what the homework question comment was about.
Then I stalled the car and started paying attention again.
Also I guess Bob and Marcia have a nice house because the Court provided the home for them and the Court clearly has a lot of money kicking around. Also the 47 cats.

Okay, it seems the students have brought to camp at this time and season for a reason, perhaps to observe some Aurora Borealis effect? According to Wikipedia, 'Geomagnetic storms that ignite auroras actually happen more often during the months around the equinoxes' the next being September 22 so it is almost the right time.
Meself I hope that the Forest has outfoxed the Court and we've plants going wild. Versus Laser Cows.
And more of Annie please...

That's an interesting idea, but in an earlier thread someone asked Tom if the hiatus between Ch 22 and 23 was supposed to correspond with the winter holiday, and Tom said something to the effect of "Sure why not". Going by this, it's currently the second semester. In-comic time generally has no correlation to whatever real life time a particular comic goes up.

Robotic cats? "Yarn detected. Batting procedure initiated." I have noticed though, that every single animal-like thing we see staying in the court (besides Rey) is always a robot. a little odd... but they wouldn't just be robotic cats, they'd be Laser Cats. "Annoying human detected. Biting and Laser procedure initiated." (heh, or maybe they shoot out lightning instead of lasers.. ;D )

They'd probably make sparks fly when you pet them wrong. Literal sparks.

I think maybe this is all some sort of test to see whether the kids manage to make their situation more comfortable through whatever means they have at their disposal. All McGyver-like.

i wonder if our only actual official couple try something, like one sneaking into the other's tent for some snuggles. also, jack may try something now that rey is not here. I'm also waiting for Jack to act. I think that the purpose of the first page of this chapter (the converstaion with Reynardine) was to make it 100% clear to us that Annie does not have Reynardine with her, because his absence will be important later. Of course, it also shows us how their relationship is becoming deeper.

Quick question: Does anyone else get the feeling that our Tom had an unpleasant camping experience as a kid?
