I know this has probably been raised a thousand times before, but as a forum newcomer I wanted to raise the idea of merchandise! I know Tom probably has neither the time or money to do so, but all I can say is if a Reynardine doll was available, I'm sure my girlfriend wouldn't be the only one who wanted one! ;P

Haha, this has *definitely* been talked about before, though it does not keep it from being a crazy-great idea.

I'm currently working on setting up a little store to sell some things. It will only be prints of some of the pages at first (like the treatise pages, and maybe the Dr Disaster pages), but hopefully I can think of other things to sell later.

I'm very glad to hear that Tom, I bet loads of people would want posters of one (or more!) of the treatise pages in their room.

I'm not sure if I'd be able to really put a T-Shirt to use, school uniforms and all, but I'd be happy to purchase one of the treatise pages, if the shipping goes all the way out here to Central Canada of course.

Like the internet equivalent of a tea shop in Cornwall. I'm all warm and fuzzy at the thought of giving you money. I'm sure the treatises (treatisi?) will be very popular, I'm sure I'll get one.

Prints of the treatises would be very nice! Maybe some of the pages in the etherium style, sans speech bubbles, too? Just saying As long as it ships to the US, I'll definitely be stopping by once you open the thing, Tom!

They should be available everywhere, really. It'll be handled by Topatoco, which is based in the US.

It'll be handled by Topatoco, which is based in the US. Awesome. If you ever do shirts I hope you do something like the previous concepts you had. Shapes and forms that reference things from the comic in a tasteful way. I fear that something as fancy as your treatise pages would not look good on a shirt. That would be too close to a "wolf shirt".

As an aside here though, a Three Renardine One Moon shirt would be amusing ^^
... I... I'm a sucker for novelty t-shirts....

a Three Renardine One Moon shirt would be amusing ^^ A what? ^This shirt. I just saw it all over a few stores the other day, and some folks were going nuts over it. Apparently it was for sale on Amazon or something, then it became popular as people starting giving it hilarious tongue-in-cheek feedback reviews. It's a doofy shirt, and I certianly don't expect Tom to make a parody of it for the sake of being cool on the Internet. I'd be more than happy just to order a print myself, but my screwy brain enjoys making "what if" scenarios too much ^^;;

On second thoughts, way too long. And it would probably count as copyright theft.
I'll have another think.

Wonderful. Soon the complete assimilation of every conceived media by boxbot will be complete.

Once the treatise pages are available for sale, I totally want to get them and put them in shiny black frames and make it all triptych style on my wall.

so here i've registered for the forums to heckle the fine mr. tom about making available opportunities to throw money at him (read: merchandise) and after a good three hours or so of reading the "ask tom questions" threads, i stumble upon a thread telling me oh wait, others have done this more recent than a couple of years ago.
so i suppose i'll settle with saying "oh gee i would be a very very happy girl if you would speak with whomever you may choose (i get the impression topatoco makes things fairly easy for artists) in order to allow me to wear t-shirts with clever gunnerkrigg-related things printed on them!"
all this because you made a mention of t-shirts with laser-cows. (awesome)
here's hoping you can find the time to make it happen. theoretically, with the number of GKC lovers out there, you might actually be able to make a decent enough income to go from "working guy who draws" to "drawing guy who works."
aside and regardless, thank you for your beautiful art and charming story, tom. i enjoy muchly.
edit: so it looks like this IS actually happening (at least in its first steps)? *cue cheering and dancing about like a goober*
