Guys, when I said 'battle for supremacy next Friday (not this Friday)', I meant next Friday as in the Friday *after* this. Yes?

Nice joke! And this is shaping up to be a fun trip. I thought you weren't gonna be here for tonight's, Yin? EDIT: Oh, I see.
Heh, Bob doffs his cap. Oh, wait THAT Bob? Oh my!
Oh goodness. There's Paz! Lookin' fine! Still spooked years later, it seems. Or I suppose she's just adjusting her pack.

Hooray for new characters!
I already have a theory going that Marcia was a Fairie...

That does seem to be glaringly obvious now...
Hm. Young's park? It would seem that Sir Young got a park named in his honor.

People cannot help it Yin. So many years of the internet, it ingrains a deep "FIRST" need. The battle will be fierce next week, I am sure.
Oh man, Tom's twitter comment made me laugh. Rare creature indeed.
I like Bob and Marcia already. Can't wait to see more of them

Goodness there's a lot of loose threads brought up in today's strip. Will questions be answered? Or will more just pile on?

I forgot about Bob, I admit. It's been a while.

I'm confused. Has Bob ever been mentioned before?

He's the gardener dude who caught Kat and Annie at the cherry tree. Later on he snorted during the conference where we first meet Jones, Coyote and Ysengrin.

No way he's the same one. Maybe all the gardeners are nicknamed Bob?

I already have a theory going that Marcia was a Fairie... Heh, my first impulse when I saw her was to point a finger at her and shout "Fairie!". Which of course means she never was one, obviously. Wasn't he younger'n that? The best picture we got of Bob so far was here, hardly enough to judge his age from. Also Tom's drawing style has changed a little since then (just look at Eglamore, he looked actually older back then).

Bob's jacket has some sort of a patch on the left arm. Can't quite make out what it is. Also, the bismuth symbol is pretty evident on this page-- on the train station, and on the back of the ATV.
I wonder what's on the patch, though...

What is the symbol on that girl's raincoat?
Edit: Oops same as the patch on bob's coat, must be the courts insignia.

It's possible that there's two gardeners called Bob (The court's the size of a small city, it must have quite a few people maintaining the park alone).

Hehehe. After the girl in the picture debacle, I guess everyone's a little shy of jumping straight to the obvious "like Bob the park ranger father, like Bob the court-garden loving son" theory...

Also, "Young's Park"? I wonder why the guy got a park names after him.

"Walking is nature's quad bikes!" I like these two already. Also, "Young's Park"? I wonder why the guy got a park names after him. Probably because he had the park built. Also, I'm not so sure about the "Bob & Bob Jr." theory. It's possible Tom hadn't confirmed Bob's appearance when he snorted back then. However, I'm having trouble picturing an older man saying Bob's dialog in the cherry tree chapter. Maybe that's just me.

If that park was indeed built by Sir Young, there might be some sort of plaque (well, even if it was just named for him). Perhaps we'll even get a clue about Jeanne, somewhere in the middle of the night where Kat and Annie will go off wandering and find a shining little shrine and oh god someone stop me.
Also, I don't see why you guys think Marcia is a former-fairy. I only see the hair and the striped sleeves, but no region markings? Or is that what the necklace is about?

I know this is a silly question, but has anyone compared the text-bubble coloration of Snorting Bob and Residential Bob? I cannot draw any conclusions because 1) the gamma settings on my work computer are sub-par and 2) it's not a fool-proof indicator (it changed between the cherry tree chapter and the snort), but as long as you're going to speculate same/different might as well use all your clues.
EDIT: Also, props to whoever predicted we might see more of Bob this chapter since it would be among nature. Even if this is not the Bob, it was still a shrewd call.

That was me, though I don't think it counts for much. Funny, the first thing I thought when I saw Mr. Bob on this page was that he just might be Eglamore's father. If that's the case, I doubt this guy was ever a dragon slayer.
By the way the bismuth symbol is on the train station roof and is the licence plate on the quad.

Bob definitely looks younger the second time we've seen him, if it is the same guy. It could just be that Tom's adapted the design and given him a chin and a new hat.

Oh, and Young got a park named after him. Wonder why. Hm. Young's park? It would seem that Sir Young got a park named in his honor. Why not, he was " protector of the Court", and perhaps in this case even the implicit "first..." may be allowed to slip in. After all, they just started the whole thing, how big the window of opportunity for a twist can be... Probably because he had the park built. ...then again, they just started the whole thing. BOB?! Wasn't he younger'n that? Hehehe. After the girl in the picture debacle, I guess everyone's a little shy of jumping straight to the obvious "like Bob the park ranger father, like Bob the court-garden loving son" theory... Ah, we seem to be more and more used to this twisted style. ;D On the other hand, Court people seems to be rather clannish in their occupation choices, so these two still can turn out to be relatives. Hey, he can be that one's uncle. I already have a theory going that Marcia was a Fairie... Heh, my first impulse when I saw her was to point a finger at her and shout "Fairie!". Which of course means she never was one, obviously. Probably. Though her humor and living close to the green things give an extra tiny bit of support to this theory.
