1- Look at it.
2- Think: "Geez... Again?!?!"
3- Go back to what I was doing before that araucaria angustifolia had fallen in my backyard. Specifically on my dog, that was trying to catch a bird, that was probably thinking: "Man, a tree would be REALLY useful now..."

Well, I would go "... Holy damn!" and then maybe climb around on it, after assuring myself more trees were not following.

Question: If a tree lands – as from flying, in your garden, without anyone else around – does it make a sound, or are you just hallucinating it?
On a totally different subject, did anyone know that an adult male polar bear cannot, in fact, bite through the skin of a walrus? That kind of suprised me.

We must TALK! TALK about something TO REMOVE THE SCARRING FROM OUR BRAINS!

I read a pretend African fairytale recently! It was sad.

Really? Why was it sad? Did everyone die of plague in the end? 'Cause I read an African story like that once, only it was true.

No, no. This queen was in love with a more-powerful-than-a-god but she knew only bad things could come of it. So she killed herself. After she died, the not-god asked her to be his again and again, and the last time he asked he said if she refused again he would condemn her to eternal suffering.
I think you know the ending. You're a Sandman fan, right?

Yes, yes I am. This is indeed a sad fairy tale... Poor girl.... (Nada? Nadia? Something like that, right?) And poor Morpheus! "Love makes us do the wacky", to quote Willow.

Which endless would you like to be, and which do you actually resemble? I'd probably be Death/Delirium here (in spite of being male).

Delirium/Desire. Or maybe Destiny/Death.
I act like Despair too much sometimes, though (I don't cut myself, at least).

Lessee...Want to be? Death. Seriously, her job would be so INTERESTING! Or Delirium. Again...
But resemble? Prolly Delirium, or the few pictures I've seen of her as Delight, looks-wise. Personality wise...sometimes Death, sometimes Dream... heck, we all have our despair/delirium/destruction moments, not to mention desire. But overall, Death with a dash of Dream.

Finally, tell us a little about yourself: Uh. Um. Well, I'm a nerd...happily enough. I like to write a lot, and to read, and to make stuff out of glass and metal, preferably by applying great amounts of heat to them. So yeah. Good times. Owl, do you have a website for your artwork?

Because I have a weakness for (among other things): A) Glass B) Metal C) FIre not necessarily in that order. ;D
I am curious what you create when you combine the aforementioned ingredients.

Haha, me too! Awesome! *high fives!* ;D Mostly ornamental things...abstract, or clockwork-y, or jewelry-ish. You know, that sort of thing. And most of it is not very good....I'm teaching myself, so what I have that is finished is basically a lot of happy accidents. (Plus, at the moment, the person that lent me their glass-torch for more than a year has now taken it back, so am without a tool... )

We were talking about the Endless, from Neil Gaiman's Sandman. They're, um....siblings who are also the anthropomorphic personifications (did I actually spell that right? O.o ) of concepts: Destiny, Death, Dream, Despair, Desire, Destruction and Delirium. Delirium used to be Delight, but then she kinda got...insane. Now she makes butterflies fly out of the windows in her head and such.

I agree with the above post entirely. Also, my avatar is Dream, currently, though when I first joined it was Death (with Boxbot in between, of course ).

Owl, what is Dream doing in your avatar pic? Kind of looks like getting slapped, but...

I'm pretty sure he's just thinking. I know that's his own hand...and I doubt he's slapping himself...though no one else (except possibly Death) would dare....so if he needs to be slapped, he's the one to do it, heh. ;D
There's wind (he's on some crazy planet...ice-ish, or maybe one of the deam-realms...), so that accounts for the hair...and he's looking at someone, so that's the head angle.

In the full panel he's holding out his thumb, like an artist. He's remaking the Corinthian.
