Everyone recieving a flower, more literarily, could definitely be interpreted as an allegory. Krazehpenguin already mentioned the flower seed/Seed Bismuth angle, but in a way, the children are the flowers of the SB -- it has grown and created these Court members. Then why give Reynardine a flower? They probably have an actual purpose later on. But if that was true, wouldn't she have handed them out all at once? I figured being held by the Court indefinitely kind of made him a member, plus being bound to a student there and all. So the Court is kind of responsible for his current being. And yeah, I think they probably have an actual purpose too, but allegorical purposes are fun! Edit: Reynardine + noble wolf form + giant purple flower + anime expressions = the best thing ever.

If Coyote was not part of the Forest from the beginning, he may very well be the cause of the Great Divide. Maybe it was him who wanted to subdue the humans in stead of the other way around.

That would imply that Coyote lied to Annie, and Jones said that Coyote is no liar.

Well he only said he seperated the court and forest. He didn't say anything about who started it...
