Did you draw that, Klex? It's triple awesome, and also super shiny. Dear tom noKlex's reply is now welded firmly into my vocabulary.

reyo gave me an idea... You know, given that this takes place in the UK, shouldn't we be saying "biscuits" instead of "cookies"? Also, does anyone know how to keep Photoshop Elements from saturating the colors of images it edits? Every time I edit something the colors always come out more saturating than before. Soft scones/biscuits taste BETTER when made with expired/sour milk.

For the record, in Britain, a cookie seems to be any biscuit with chocolate chips, or some substitute for chocolate chips.

This is what was REALLY happening. What we saw was what Annie thought they were saying. Jones can't have a love interest with anyone...unless said person was at least twice as dull as her. also: Bump anyone?

I'm glad you liked that one, I was particularly proud of it, among a few others I made.

yeah, this and the terrible thread are probably the best on here. I'm gonna try some: There's way too many single frames that are just begging to be made into cookie parodies. also, sorry for the low quality of the added stuff. I only have Paint so...

Okay changing the characters' expressions is just creepy.

I actually have a few edits which are neither cookie- nor boxbot-related, one of which is all about the effect of changing expressions on the comic. I was wondering whether to make a new thread for random goofy edits.

I would just like to say that this thread and its terrible counterpart are made of quadruple-solid gold.

I was wondering whether to make a new thread for random goofy edits. I don't think there'd be anything wrong with making just 1 more goofy thread, but Tom might say these two are enough. but if it is ok, call it "Gunnerkrigg Outtakes" or something.

Personally--and this is just my opinion, mind you--I would be hesitant about that. When I first started the GKCookies idea, I feared that Tom might not like people messing with his artwork that much. Especially when the font that is used became common knowledge, I worried that people would start making all sorts of new captions causing the characters to say all sorts of nasty stuff a la 4chan, which Tom I'm sure would really not appreciate.
so the idea of manipulating the artwork itself has always, for me anyway, seemed like an area that we ought not get into. I know that if I were an artist, I would be amused by some tiny, honorable parodies, but outright manipulation would make me upset.
Like I said though that's just me, and I might be in the minority. I'm super glad that GKCookies has gotten the great reception that it has, because it was something that spawned on a whim, but it is and always will remain Tom's brain-child and I've tried to be very careful about respecting that whenever I do a modification.

Initially I was amused by the thought of a second thread, but then again, Casey has a point. I realized I'd be a bit uncomfortable myself if people started manipulating my work too.

I think the PhotoChops are intended to be respectful revelry, unlike forgeries, which are intended to be alternatives to the source, hijacking the perceived intent of the author's work.

Annie is peeved that no one makes a fuss of her cookie-head. These panels also prove that Eggers is Annie's father. It's in the genetics! I have called this delicious conglomeration of cookies and Eggers 'Ceggers'.
