Wow... Kat really trashed that place. x.x
Maybe they really will disguise themselves as robots. Kudos to the people that guessed that one.
I wonder what sort of help she's planning on, hmm...
Couldn't Kat just get Boxbot to clean it all up for her? Guess not... otherwise she would've had him on it while she messed with Shadow2.
Gotta wonder what Kat did to make the place such a mess... x.x Could that all have been from trying to get Shadow2 talking?
Edit: Spellcheck is your friend. Edit2: So is being consistent with your topic subjects.

If I were Annie, what would I do? WWAD?
I might get Mort to put on a show for me. I wonder if his illusions work on robots as well as they do on people? If needed, there's also the stuff in the No Spare Robot Parts room to make a disguise for Annie. But I think Mort can cover it. Maybe they can get Basil the Minotaur to stand in as a big bruising gundam robot. And between Kat's playback device and Shadow 2 they can probably generate convincing green angular robovoices if Mort can't.
...my only fear is that boxbot will rat them out. Maybe that's why Tom hates him so? Boxbot = Judas?
Uh, sorry, this belongs in Wild Speculations, doesn't it?

When I was in highschool, we kept a 4L beaker under a hood. After every class a bunch of us all dumped our messes into that beaker. Sometmes there was smoke, sometimes there was colored fire. At the end of that year, though, it was filled with a black volcanic crusty unknown. I don't remember how we got rid of it. But it was fun! What a great chem teacher we had! Mess = Science! (before publication)

To be fair, Brice, Annie was being pretty mean to Boxbot and dismissive of his feelings.
Also: YES! Robot disguises! It's awesome because I was hoping it would happen, and then it did. Or, at least, the idea was proposed in the comic. We'll have to see if the plan actually comes to fruition.

To be fair, Brice, Annie was being pretty mean to Boxbot and dismissive of his feelings. Yeah, she was not nice to someone not even her size. But Tom said he hates / has hated boxbot: Are you surprised by Boxbot's instant popularity? It only makes me hate him more. ... maybe he was just joking. Look at the boxbot cult that sprang up. Maybe Tom's jealous. But maybe boxbot will turn out to be the low-lying root of all evil like someone else already joked. I guess "Judas" really belongs in Wild Speculation. But how else could boxbot screw up this chapter if he doesn't betray Annie? Any ideas?

Maybe he could turn out to be really clumsy or absentminded, accidentally blowing their cover or something. I could totally see him doing something like that.

I forgot that Tom also said: What do boxbots actually do? It seems that they're a kind of super-Roomba, but is that a correct analysis? They do various things, but mostly infuriate. Mort puts on a show while Annie hides around the corner... Helloooo!

Well, this page has certainly confirmed my suspicions that Annie would don a disguise of some sort (robot-based, obviously) to get into the secret room. (As I mentioned before, I thought at first that it might be the robot on the title page, but another look at him indicated that such features as the shape of his neck would not make him a good disguise for a human.)
I'm also curious about who the help is. If it's Mort, Annie might not even need to don a robot costume; she could simply have the little ghost project an image of a robot around her, the way that he (apparently) disguised her as the eyeless circus trio in Chapter Four. (Which might be just as well, since the way that robot costumes usually work when you're donning one to infiltrate some group is that the head always winds up accidentally falling off to reveal a human underneath it at the worst possible moment.)
And who'd have thought that Kat would turn the lab into that much of a mess while studying Shadow2?

Wow. Kat's lab is much cleaner than mine. You can still see desk surface! ;D I guess it's not technically her lab, so she's forced to clean up constantly.
It's hiliarious to see Annie openly scheming. She's really lightened up recently.
Can't wait to see what sort of a disguise she's going come up with!
And congrats to Todd (and others) for calling it!

The "help" is almost certainly Mort. However, I'm gonna back an outside chance and say that she's actually going to be calling in the favour and get Zimmy to create a distraction or something.

I wonder if that yellow thing to the left in the "messy lab" panel is Kat's school sweater. It looks (roughly) the right color and shape for it.

Woohoo, costumes! Gotta love dressing up. I think it would be great if Annie's reinforcements are Winsbury and Janet. While there is no evidence AT ALL, it just seems... fitting, since we've got no background on them.
Also, I love how everyone is saying "Haha, looks like my lab!" Y'all are chemistry majors, aren't you? I'm a genetics major, so our lab is quite literally sterile. But if I could, I'm sure I'd have just as messy a lab. (drat contamination! Cleaning that thoroughly is such a bother. The things that grow on an unsterile petri dish, though...)
(And if someone who works closely with e.Coli thinks it is gross, you KNOW that contamination is foul)

Re: Todd and the class sweater.
The color is kinda off, but I think you're right when you say it is clothing. Actually, now that I think about it, the color and shape does remind me of something: a haz-mat suit! Or maybe a lead suit to protect from errant radiation, or some other body protection commonly associated with science. This is Kat we're talking about, and the first time I saw her purple anti-gravity, my first thought was: that stuff has got to have all kinds of untrustworthy rays and particle emissions. Of course, it doesn't seem like it does now (her dad let her make it, after all), but there's no telling what else she could come up with.

This can only lead to hijinks of the wacky variety. I'm anticipating this even more than the Doctor Disaster arc.
