Why indeed. This is her paradise, what she was trying for since the start. And really, the current distortion doesn't seem so bad - we haven't really seen too much in the way of monster-populated decaying city streets! Still, I imagine that Annie and Tony will try to talk her out of it. A rational argument might be that Zimmy will run out of power sooner or later, or Coyote will - either way the distortion will end. Which surely isn't what she wants. I'd certainly try something like that before I'd try to convince her that she should give up her paradise for people she doesn't know, who are in fact children from her point of view (at best). I don't have a lot of faith in Tony's ability to make an emotional appeal. I'm really curious about whether that body she is using is an actual NP body or not. If it is, then it should keep working even after the distortion goes. If it's a distortion, then she'll need one, and a mind transfer... We also don't know whether she requires her little bit of leftover organic material to stay alive for her to stay alive. Just because she's been inhabiting a computer doesn't mean she is one, necessarily! Her situation may be quite different from that of the Robots. Sadly, it's likely that none of this matters anyway, as we haven't seen the Coyote's endgame yet. Her only real hope for a happy ending is if one is possible within Coyote's scheme. We still don't know for sure what his ultimate goal is - we've gotten some more clues but still no script.

And, on another note, I'm still uncomfortable with the lack of news about Jones. She is important in all this somehow and I would be very much disappointed if she'd just vanished. She just vanished, actually. She's already working with another publisher, starring on a sitcom-like comic of her own.

This is the moment in a JRPG where the slow build of the boss combat music would be starting underneath the dialogue while the good guys realised that the person they are dealing with has been an antagonist all along after all. "Now! This is it! Now is the time to choose! Die and be free of pain, or live and fight your sorrow! Now is the time to shape your stories! Your fate is in your hands!" - Auron, Final Fantasy X "Why do you have an energy bar?"

And a deathtrap with Jeanne. A rational argument might be that eventually it’s going to get worse. Especially when Zimmy catches a fit of anxiety. Which is even more likely with a fragment of Coyote running around. And after it ends, Zimmy eventually will make another one anyway.

Omega's been giving off girl on vacation vibes for a while now. She's not going back in the box just yet.
But also, seriously, are we just moving on from the implication that Omega observing and testing her insights not only put Tony and Surma together, but created the girl who whould not exist?
Like we just bring that up and then move on without even addressing it? The whole reason she became the omega device was to live long enough to see the event that messed up her predictions, but in doing that caused the girl that fueled the event.
I'm over here obsessing about Kat breaking reality to save her friend that only exists because Omega peering through the ether saw the uncertainty brought about by Kat's intervention. . .
Observer's paradox coming to light in a situation where a man-made god freed the paradoxical observer from the burden of knowledge that made her the observer.
It's a deliciously fragile and chaotic construct.
Oh, and Kat's ascension bringing about the new people and Lana, the destroyer of Coyote's plan and trigger of Omega's form and freedom. . .
It all loups around and in on itself so much, I guess it is a good thing that Omega is going to force them to explore it more and not just end it.

But it's been a lot better for her than her life has been to date. I'm just not sure it'll be possible to sell her on giving it up.
