Funny thing - I suspect that's what Annie THINKS she's doing, but I don't think it's going to provoke the response she thinks it will.
I'm not sure Annie expects a particular response; she may just be probing to learn more about Omega's personality and motivations. She got pretty good at that when she was interacting with Loup's various forms.
We, however, have the benefit of actually seeing Omega's old life through flashbacks, which give a much clearer picture of how she and the Court actually saw each other: she saw them as a convenient way to harness her power, and they saw her as a well of glorious possibilities to mine. They both took advantage of each other, knowingly and selfishly.
I'm guessing that as far as Omega's concerned, the main difference between her and Zimmy is that she was smart enough to constantly take advantage of the Court's interest in her as much as possible, while Zimmy just kinda sat there and took it from 'em, like a chump. Annie isn't exactly naive, but I predict that she's going to have some trouble grasping Omega's particular brand of cynicism.

That's one way of looking at it. Another is that Zimmy's the selfish and cynical one, caring mostly for her own comfort and the continued presence of the one or two people who are actually important to her. Omega shared the Court's ethic of finding fulfillment in service to humanity, so they weren't "taking advantage" of each other; they were just kindred spirits. They made her stronger, and she made them stronger. She had a long and productive career and is now looking forward to a well-deserved retirement. Zimmy might have enjoyed similar success if she'd sucked it up and studied hard and practiced making her powers useful to others, but since she insists on behaving like a misanthropic vagrant and delinquent, being a guinea pig and occasional backup generator are all she's really good for.
In other words, the Court's run by Protestants.
Especially because the 10% of events in the comic the Court HAS cared enough to notice, they probably could have avoided EXTREMELY EASILY if only they had paid the slightest amount of attention to the other 90% of the comic.
But so far, it seems that the Court didn't really need to avoid those events. From what Omega says, its plans are still right on schedule. It has so many fallbacks and proxies and redundant systems that all of Loup's destruction had no effect on its primary goal. Everyone up to and including Llanwellyn and Aata is expendable; I rather doubt that there are any essential personnel, even at the very top. It's an incredibly resilient collective, and resistance is futile.
