Well, you gotta admit, it's better than the old, "You have foiled my nefarious plan; now I must destroy you" schtick

Someone's a fan...
[update] Actually, given that Kat is so firmly grounded in the mundane that she can barely perceive the Ether, it would be funny if Omega couldn't perceive her.

When an omniscient being tells you your decisions are so bad they've literally wrecked the fabric of reality.

Uh, yeah, that might be Kat you are looking for, girl. While Kat was the reason for Annie's survival, I imagine the nature of Annie's continued existence being a deviance from what "should" be makes any action of Annie's, no matter how mundane, a vector of chaos in a pre-ordained timeline. I should have known. Of course Omega's entangled in a parasocial relationship with Annie. Omniscience means being a voyeur, willing or reluctant 😅

Somehow this page makes me mainly ask myself "Do NP bodies have to blink?" Regarding several comments saying things like "wait until she learns about Kat" or similar: I'm still not convinced Omega doesn't know about Kat. She should have seen* the original timeline and thus seen original Kat meddle with time. Unless she couldn't see farther than the point when Annie should have died, but I don't interpret the things she said that way.
*well, "extrapolated" is probably the more correct term

While she's no longer omniscient, she's still Team Court who obsessively track their citizens' every movement. I wouldn't assume she knows "everything" about Kat, but surely she knows a lot at least about the stuff that already happened.

After explaining how her ability works, Omega hops off the wall she was sitting on and approaches Annie, startling her. Grabbing Annie's hands with her own, she enthusiastically tells Annie how excited she is to finally meet her. She saw Annie in the future, just as she'd seen Charles, and she knew Annie would be a point of chaos, a catalyst of unpredictable events. This was absolutely unprecedented – everyone and everything else in the entire world was predictable to her, but not Annie. It sounds as if the Court didn't like this, but it appears that to Omega this was not just interesting but exhilarating. Right now, though, Omega is exulting about Annie right in Annie's face, and Annie looks scared. Omega looks like a crazy person right now, a crazy person who's grabbed both her hands and is holding her near and ranting in her face. It's as if Omega is Annie's biggest fangirl and has finally gotten to meet her. Tom's note is, "Okay," which is probably the sarcastic "Okay" that one says after seeing someone do something that doesn't seem ... normal.
I guess my biggest question is, "What now?" Now that Omega's reached this point and met Annie, what's her plan? Is it something Annie will like, or not? I mean, what if all she wanted to do was meet Annie, and that's it, so it's happened now; cool. The opposite extreme would be, "Now that I've finally managed to meet you ... you must be destroyed!" But I don't think so. Another possibility I can think of is, "Now that I can finally talk to you, I must spend every waking moment with you so I can figure you out!" This would be annoying to Annie but possibly hilarious to us readers. Or maybe she's just going to ask Annie about the events she couldn't see. I wonder whether Omega knows about Kat's time-traveling bird, because she hasn't mentioned it so far, and you'd think she would've. So I don't think Omega knows why Annie was a point of chaos. What happens when she finds out it's because Kat sent a remote-controlled birdbot back in time (which happened someplace in the Ether, so I think that means Omega couldn't see it)?

I feel that it's absolutely hilarious that the Court disliked Antimony and her effect on the world, yet Omega, unbeknownst to them did everything under her power to turn the events towards Annie's existence.
Also, she seems unhinged. A stark difference from her first introduction in the distortion.

It's bad enough as a teenager when you find out people are shunning you. I can't imagine what it's like to find out that the Court is leaving for a different planet because of you.

Revisiting today's comic when it is no longer 3am I noticed clear Noob seams on Omega's hands in panel 4. I doubt she went through the transfer process, so she either made herself a new body with the power of the distortion or found herself in one and that latter is a longshot.
[edit] I should also observe that if Omega is on her own Kat-like journey then her waiting for Antimony is more than justified. Antimony is the catalyst that will help her finish her own... transmutation process, I guess. [/edit]

So far, this is all very sweet, if a little stalker-ish. I do hope Omega didn't do anything to control the actions of Annie (or ZImmy or Kat) to get her desired outcome, as none of them would be happy about that.

Well, Annie's etheric rizz continues. You'll find her irresistible unless you're alive and a biological human! Maybe she emits anti-pheromones? one more bad experimental pickup line and im gonna turn your independent variables into dependents So you'll be my underlying cause? That lowers my variance ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) I rest my head on 115 But miracles only happen on 34th, so I guess life is mean And death is the median And purgatory is the mode that we settle in--Cannibal Ox, Iron Galaxy

Meanwhile, the Court is working like crazy to recalibrate the Star Ocean on the distortion Ether.

Uh, yeah, that might be Kat you are looking for, girl. I doubt Omega could make such a mistake. However, "point of chaos" and "catalyst for unpredictability" would make Annie Omega's favorite, just for not being boring. It also explains why Annie is also Coyote's favorite. They both would find people very predictable, but being around Annie would be like reading a book for the 100th time, only to find that some parts are different this time.

Yeah, there are several beings that break the laws of nature for Annie's sake on a weekly basis, and Kat's only one of them. Using the terrain analogy, Annie's submerged up to her neck.
