All omniscience involves precognition, but not all precognition involves omniscience. Why? Not necessarily. Since we are talking of omniscience not only in the most all-inclusive sense, “what is right now” and “what was” subsets of observations are already distinct, and future events are horses from an entirely different stable (at least, without an assumption of predestination, and in the absolute “clockwork” form at that).

Since we are talking of omniscience not only in the most all-inclusive sense, Omniscience is all-inclusive by definition, no? Otherwise it's just...science. I wouldn't say that. All accessible observations are in the present; past and future alike are extrapolated from those observations. One or the other may be more accurately predictable, depending on the system you're looking at, but I see no reason to consider the past more strongly determined than the future.

I agree that Jeanne's death/imprisonment probably happened (much) later than the Omega flashbacks we're seeing now. My point was more that for some reason I have a suspicion that the people in those flashbacks are both the same guy (Charles) and that he maintained his moral stance throughout his career. What? No! That Jeanne thing was at least 150 years before Omega!
