If it isn't Zeta it could be Jenny. We are due for some sort of move from Aata and I speculate that he got to Jenny. I still think it's most likely Zeta, though. Also: Check out her feet in the last panel. The distortion of perspective has really been dialed up to eleven. Looks like her feet are shriveling in terror at being caught.

If you didn't immediately react to the last panel with "Who who? Who who?" you are neither a child of the rock and roll era or a CSI fan.

So Loup was an amalgamation of Coyote and Ysengrin, is this girl an amalgamation of Loup, Coyote and Zimmy? That sounds like a terrifying set of powers.

I think it's highly unlikely that it's Zimmy. Her behaviour and expressions are way too far from Zimmy's. The one and only thing she and Zeta have in common is long, dark hair.
She reminded me of someone - someone benevolent (or at least seemingly so). Which is why I liked hatredman's suggestion that it's Gamma.
But now that Jenny has been mentioned, I'm like "Of course! Jenny!". Makes much more sense, too.

It's obviously Gam... OK I'll stop.
She is in fact Etty.
I've been thinking about (wassername) Barbershop Robot. All NP are created teenagers, maybe because it's easier for Kat to relate to them, and also because they are indeed children. Arthur received an adult body, for obvious and understandable reasons. But poor Barbershop Robot got a middle-aged male body. I think it's hard for him to mingle with the kids. Where is he? Does anybody care for him? Does he have a partner in life, or is he all alone? What has he been doing (apart from sitting all day waiting for someone to cut their hairs)?
EDIT: And yes, we've been wondering, not only who the Gothic Chick is, but also when the end of chapter would come. Sucks that's on a Monday, but Tom is our God and we are at His mercy.

I'm a HUGE Who fan, but I am (and everybody else) so absorbed in the plot that I didn't notice. But yeah, now that you said that... (Let's not derail this and open another thread for The Who...)

So busted. If you didn't immediately react to the last panel with "Who who? Who who?" you are neither a child of the rock and roll era or a CSI fan. Nor an owl. But the owls are not what they seem… Oh. Mystery solved.

Ok triple post. I also can't stop thinking that there are things happening outside the distortion, the traveling to the other planet, for instance, that transparent person that may or may not be future Kat.
Remember that Zimmy was near the forest, far away from the shore. Maybe the distortion did not go all the way to the etheric sea (I think the etheric sea may be repelling or containing the distortion in some way. There may be even Court actions to contain the distortion.
After this distortion story arc is finished, there will be a lot of things that should be portrayed, like Kat's ascension, Annie's Pomp Job, relocation of Forest Creatures and Regeneration of the Forest, rebuilding the court for who's staying behind, the life of the New Court on the other planet, the closing of the Etheric Ocean...
I think we can expect this comic to be long lived...

We know from the previous page that Annie has noticed, but now that she thinks no one is watching her, the mysterious New Person with the long black hair is wandering around with a goofy smile on her face and very weird body language, especially in the area of her arms and hands. She moves right to left past the opening to the workshop, then turns and moves away from the workshop entrance ... And then suddenly a hand grabs her arm. She's not smiling anymore; Renard is on one side of her, and Annie is on the other. Looking serious, her eyes closed, Annie asks her who she is. And end of chapter! Her weird body language may be a symptom of her true identity being someone who doesn't normally have humanoid arms and hands, and the smile does have a very trickstery vibe to it; Coyote is my first guess. Since the question of whether Coyote is alive is still open, it could also be the Coyote portion of Loup, which seems to retain some independent agency and power. As for what she 's doing here, well, Coyote took off to find the new god, and she did seem disappointed when Kat came to take Sam into the Ether but she didn't see her. This could mean that Coyote (or whoever this NP is) engineered Sam's death with the intention of getting the Angel to show up, but it didn't work. However, the mystery NP has seen Kat now and didn't seem to react or anything. Perhaps she needs to see Kat in some specific situation, like when she's doing something Ethery – perhaps in her machine angel mode? Wouldn't Coyote have been able to see that, though? In fact, Tom seems to be telegraphing pretty strongly that this is Coyote, which actually makes me wonder who else it could be, because he's usually not that obvious. Who else is there who doesn't normally have a humanoid form and would want to find the Angel badly enough (or is psychopathic enough) to commit Ether-ghost-proxy murder for it? Well, the mystery NP first appeared in the Zimmingham part of the distortion, just before spotting the first spider creature. Those whitelegs are always trying to hitch a ride out of there, and they remain unexplained. One of them, or whatever intelligence is behind them, may have inserted themselves into the distortion as the mystery NP. So that's my backup guess. Then there's why Annie's eyes are closed. This could signify that she's watching this in the Ether, suspecting (not without cause) that there may be some Ether shenanigans afoot. The Ether isn't an automatic True Sight spell or whatever, but it can give additional information, such as whether the mystery NP looks different there from the rest of the NP in some way. Not that Coyote couldn't make his disguise work in the Ether too, but there might be some telltale that something's up.

I love that Annie and Scooby Rey are finally going to reveal who's under the "raven-haired girl" mask. BTW, What's that thing in the panel directly behind Raven? A map of the Court's coastline? An open (Coyote?) mouth? My own wild imagination?

He lived alone for a while after waking up, but now shares a housing unit with his old IRC friend, Cab (the former Central Administrator of that one Robot HQ). They both secretly have a crush on each other, but are too afraid of ruining their friendship to say anything about it. He's also sort of a kindly (if rather unsettling) uncle figure to Becky Ground, who often went to him for advice when he was a robot, and now frequently brings him along on her many wacky adventures around the Court. He's actually with her right now, helping a Chester student with his sentient hair problems, well out of range of the distortion. His barbershop business is booming, thanks to all the NP who have no idea what to do with their new organic hair. When he's not working and/or having adventures, he has a ton of beauty and celebrity gossip magazine subscriptions that he reads avidly, and sometimes uses to make collages. (source: my ass)

I predict that if she turns out to be a major player going forwards, she'll not have this appearance. I find the design a bit too bland as far as major character goes.

Still looks like Coyote to me. Who else would be wandering around looking happy in the robot area? Everyone else we know is pretty much downbeat and/or so engrossed in their own issues they never seem very happy... It would also make some sense for Coyote to have given the Scooby Gang a bit of help navigating the distortion. I still can't rule out Lana being Coyote either, but the dark-haired NP girl may also be Lana. The thing is, if Lana is Coyote and that is Lana, we still don't know if that's always been the case! There could have been an original Lana (now stored in a box in the toy shop). Honestly, that makes a bit more sense than Lana being Coyote from the start, and falling in love with Loup and all that. Not impossible but less likely than a substitution IMHO. So I'm suggesting Lana is/was real and as presented, but Coyote stored her and duplicated her at the point of the CHOMP, then changed the form somewhat once they went into the distortion. I can't think of anyone else we've met that would have helped the gang navigate AND pretended to be a NP AND generally happy AND really excited and interested in seeing what is going on in Kat's area. All the other robots and NP would be really familiar with that place by now, especially S13. It nearly has to be someone that hasn't been there before, or at least not free to wander around. The only other idea I've got, and it's weird even for me, is... Omega. I'll spare you the logic for now - I'm sure many are tired of my verbose theories.

All the other robots and NP would be really familiar with that place by now, especially S13. Could be a Seraph. We've seen one try to help the NPs, despite still being banished from Kat's presence. Could also be Tony, discovering that transitioning removed his/her mind cage. Could also be Robot, enjoying the chance to mingle anonymously with his flock for a change. Could also be a merostomatozon's psychic projection (which is another way of saying it's Jenny.) Could also be a swarm of Paz's mice in a humanoid suit, abandoned and resentful and aiming to hook up with her ex-girlfriend.

The NPs are embodied ex-robots, there is nothing preventing Omega's electronic brain from being embodied too. It's so powerfil, it could have hacked its way into one of Kat's pods. Maybe the transparent person is not Future Kat but Future Black-haired NP. And yes, we're huge nerds...
